Voting Privileges Full members vote to elect the association president and members to the APA Council of Representatives. Associate members may vote or hold office in APA after 5 consecutive years of membership in the association. Graduate Students Graduate student affiliates are automatically enrolled in the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS). Undergraduate and high school student affiliates may join APAGS for an additional fee.
