Aon Leisure Travel One Trip Insurance Special Exclusion (COVID-19) This Policy does not cover and we will not (under any sections) pay for claims of any kind directly or indirectly arising from, relating to or in any way connected with the Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19) (or any mutation or variation thereof) and/or its outbreak. To the extent that any term or condition in the Policy may be inconsistent with this exclusion, this exclusion shall prevail. Travel Tips • Take out travel insurance at the time or once You have booked Your Trip. • Check the travel advice issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) for Your travel Destination and the countries You plan to visit on Your Trip. • Register Your Trip with MFAT. • Visit Your Doctor and dentist for a general check-up before You leave Home. Ask about any vaccinations relevant to Your Destination and any other countries You intend to visit during Your Trip. Ensure Your regular vaccinations, such as the flu shot and tetanus shot, are up to date. Get Your Doctor to print a list of all Your current medications, their generic names, dosages and frequency taken. Print a spare copy and keep it separate from Your main luggage. • Pack a sufficient supply of Your regular medications in Your carry-on luggage. This way, if Your luggage is lost or delayed You won’t have any concern over taking Your medication as required. • Find out the emergency services contact numbers for the Destination(s) and any other countries You are travelling to. Record the numbers for police, ambulance, Your travel insurance provider and the nearest New Zealand Embassy. For all non-emergency matters, contact Chubb Customer Service on +64 200 422 346. Where Your claim is excluded or falls outside the Policy coverage, the provision of emergency assistance by Chubb Assistance will not in itself be an admission of liability. Considerable effort is made to locate, assess and reassess medical facilities and other services worldwide. However, the medical standards, sanitary conditions, reliability of telephone systems and facilities for medical services differ from country to country and accordingly, it is not always possible to have control over these factors. Policy Wording Duty of Disclosure Before entering into a contract of insurance with Chubb Insurance New Zealand Limited (Chubb), each prospective insured has a duty to disclose to Chubb information that is material to Chubb’s decision whether to accept the insurance and, if so, on what terms. Information may be material whether or not a specific question is asked. There is the same duty to disclose material information to Chubb before renewal, extension, variation or reinstatement of a contract of insurance with Chubb. It is important that each prospective insured understands all information provided in support of the application for insurance and that it is correct, as each prospective insured will be bound by the answers and by the information it has provided. The duty of disclosure continues after the application for insurance has been completed up until the time the contract of insurance is entered into. Consequences of Non-Disclosure If an insured fails to comply with its duty of disclosure, Chubb may be entitled, without prejudice to its other rights, to reduce its liability under the contract in respect of a claim or refuse to pay the entire claim. Chubb may also have the right to avoid the contract from its beginning, this means the contract will be treated as if it never existed and no claims will be payable. Meaning of Certain Words Throughout this document, certain words are bold font and begin with capital letters. These words have special meaning and are included in the Definitions, as set out in page 15 of this Policy Wording. Please refer to the Definitions for their meaning. It is up to You to choose the cover You need. It is important that You carefully read and understand this document before making a decision. This document must be read with Your Certificate of Insurance as together they form Your Policy and confirm the cover You have purchased including the terms, conditions and exclusions. The Certificate of Insurance will show Your Plan, Optional Benefit Pack(s), Destination, Excess, Period of Insurance and the Insured Person(s). Financial Strength Rating At the time of print, Chubb Insurance New Zealand Limited has an “AA-” insurer financial strength rating given by S & P Global Ratings. The rating scale is: AAA Extremely Strong BBB Good CCC Very Weak SD or D – selective default or default AA Very Strong BB Marginal CC Extremely Weak R - Regulatory Action A Strong B Weak NR – Not Rated The rating from ‘AA’ to ‘CCC’ may be modified by the addition of a plus (+) or minus (-) sign to show relative standings within the major rating categories. A full description of the rating scale is available on the S & P Global Ratings’ website. Our rating is reviewed annually and may change from time to time, so please refer to the Chubb Insurance New Zealand Limited website for our latest financial strength rating. Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for cover under this Policy, You will need to meet the following criteria: 1. All Insured Persons must be sixty-nine (69) years of age or younger at the Start Date a) [except for the Fourteen (14) day ‘Pre-Existing Medical Condition(s) Cover’ benefit for the Elite Plan only where Insured Persons must be sixty-four (64) years of age or younger at the Issue Date]. 2. You must purchase Your Policy in New Zealand and Your Trip must commence in New Zealand. 3. If You are a Minor, You must be accompanied by an adult, such as a parent, supervisor, teacher or any other legal guardian. 4. Insured Person(s) must be Resident(s) of New Zealand. Coverage Options When You purchase this Policy, You must select Your Plan and You can select any Optional Benefit Pack(s) listed below. The selection You make will be specified on Your Certificate of Insurance. If You are going on a Cruise, plan to participate in a Winter Sport or an Adventure Sport, or are planning to ride a motorcycle/moped You will need to purchase the appropriate Optional Benefit Pack(s) in order to be available for cover under sections of Your Plan for claims related to this activity. Plan For coverage details of each Plan please refer to the Benefits Table. Your selection will be specified on Your Certificate of Insurance. Elite International Plan which provides coverages if Your Destination is outside of New Zealand. The Elite Plan provides a higher level of coverage than the Comprehensive Plan. Comprehensive International Plan which provides coverages if Your Destination is outside of New Zealand. The Comprehensive Plan provides a lower level of coverage than the Elite Plan. Domestic Domestic Plan which provides coverage if Your Destination is within New Zealand. Optional Benefit Packs Cruise Pack If You purchase Cruise Pack and it is shown as “Yes” on Your Certificate of Insurance, cover will be available under all sections of Your Policy; General Exclusion 32 will not be applicable to Your Policy. Winter Sports If You purchase Winter Sports Pack and it is shown as “Yes” on Your Certificate of Pack Insurance, cover will be available under all sections of Your Policy for participation in Winter Sports listed on page 15 Adventure If You purchase Adventure Sports Pack and it is shown as “Yes” on Your Certificate Sports Pack of Insurance, cover will be available under all sections of Your Policy for participation in Adventure Sports listed on page 14 Motorcycle/ If You purchase Motorcycle/Moped Pack and it is shown as “Yes” on Your Certificate Moped Pack of Insurance, cover will be available under all sections of Your Policy. If You purchase Motorcycle/Moped Pack General Exclusion 33 will not be applicable to Your Policy. Destination Destination For Your Destination You may select a country(s) or a region. The countries included in the region can be identified using the table on pages 32-33 subject to the Sanctions Exclusion. Who’s covered Insured Persons All Insured Person(s) as listed on the Certificate of Insurance. Premium In return for cover under this Policy, You are required to pay a premium. The cover under this Policy only starts if You pay the premium. You will be told the premium payable for Your policy when You apply and the premium will also be shown in Your Certificate of Insurance. There are a number of factors that We take into account in calculating Your premium. The key factors are the Plan and Optional Benefit Pack(s) You select, how long You will travel, Your Trip Destination(s), the number of people insured under the policy, the age of the Insured Persons and the Excess that will apply to Your policy. Excess • The Excess is the first amount of each claim which You must pay. The Excess amount is specified on Your Certificate of Insurance. If a claim is covered, the Excess is deducted after any relevant depreciation and limits have been applied to the claim amount. • An Excess may also be a waiting period, which is the amount of time You have to wait until the benefit may become payable. • An Excess is applied for each Plan, for each Event. Pre-existing Medical Condition(s) We will not pay for claims arising directly or indirectly from Pre-Existing Medical Conditions under any section of this Policy (except the ‘Fourteen (14) day Pre-Existing Medical Condition(s) Cover’ for the Elite Plan only). The only Pre-Existing Medical Conditions that are covered are listed in the “Automatically covered Pre-Existing Medical Conditions” outlined in the table on page 13 Extension of cover for the Elite Plan only: Fourteen (14) day Pre-Existing Medical Condition(s) Cover ‘Section 1 – Overseas medical, repatriation and dental expenses’ is extended to the Elite Plan only for a maximum of fourteen (14) days from the Start Date of Your Trip for: a) any of Your Pre-Existing Medical Condition; or b) any Accidental Injury that You are suffering from prior to the Start Date of Your Trip. This extension of cover does not apply: i. to any Terminal Illness; or ii. where You are travelling against medical advice; or iii. where You are travelling to seek medical attention; or iv. if You are aged sixty-five (65) years or over at the Issue Date; or v. to the Comprehensive Plan which only includes conditions in the Automatically covered Pre-Existing Medical Conditions table on page 13; or vi. to the Domestic Plan. For the avoidance of doubt, cover for conditions listed in the Automatically covered Pre-Existing Medical Conditions table on page 13 will continue after the first fourteen (14) days from the Start Date. Pregnancy We will cover claims arising directly or indirectly from an unforeseen complication related to Your pregnancy. We will not, under any section of this Policy, pay for the loss of or claims arising directly or indirectly from any Event that is a result of any complication related to Your pregnancy if: a) You experienced that complication, or a complication related to that complication, with Your pregnancy (or any prior pregnancies) prior to the Issue Date; b) Your Trip is scheduled to finish after the end of the: • 25th week of Gestation for single foetus pregnancy; or • 19th week of Gestation for multiple pregnancy; or c) the pregnancy is a result of/assisted by in vitro fertilisation or another form of assisted reproductive treatment or procedure. We will not cover: a) regular antenatal care; b) childbirth at any time; c) care of a newborn child. Fraud Chubb considers it important for customers to take insurance fraud seriously. Creation or submission of false documents, or exaggerating a genuine claim is considered insurance fraud. Such behaviour has a negative impact on the cost of insurance for all customers. We utilise our dedicated special investigations unit at Chubb to detect and investigate selected claims on a daily basis, and when the evidence supports it, Chubb will report suspect claims to the police and dedicate resources to assisting any potential criminal prosecutions. Automatically covered Pre-Existing Medical Conditions Subject to the terms and conditions specified applying at the Issue Date of Your Policy, losses arising from the following listed Pre-Existing Medical Conditions only of You, a Relative, Travelling Companion or a Business Partner are automatically covered under this Policy. Asthma If You have not had an asthma attack requiring treatment by a Doctor in the last twelve (12) months. Diabetes If You were diagnosed over twelve (12) months ago and have not had any Non-insulin dependent complications in the last twelve (12) months. Epilepsy If there are no underlying medical conditions and You have not required treatment by a Doctor for a seizure in the last twelve (12) months. Gout If the gout has remained stable for the past six (6) months. Hiatus Hernia If no hernia surgery is planned in the next two (2) years. Hip Replacement If performed more than six (6) months ago. High Cholesterol If You have no known heart conditions. Peptic Ulcer If Your condition has remained stable for more than six (6) months. Prostate Cancer If You are no longer undergoing treatment and have a Prostate Specific Antigen reading of 3.0 or less. Underactive Thyroid If not as a result of a tumour. Accidental Injury means a bodily injury which: a) is caused solely and directly by external and visible means; and b) occurs at a definite time and place as a result of an accident occurring during Your Period of Insurance; and c) results within twelve (12) months of the accident; and d) does not result from any Sickness or Disease. Accidental Loss of Life means death occurring as a result of an Accidental Injury and includes Disappearance. Accompanied Child / Children means: a) any unmarried Minor; and/or b) Your dependent child or dependent children aged over eighteen (18) years of age and less then twenty- one (21) years of age, whilst they are full-time students at an accredited institution of higher learning, primarily dependent upon You for maintenance and support and resides with You at Home who must accompany You on 100% of Your Trip Adventure Sports means sports activities included in the Adventure Sports Pack Backcountry/Off-piste means participating in Winter Sports in a sparsely inhabited rural region over ungroomed and unmarked slopes where fixed mechanical means of ascent are not present or outside the ski resort boundaries Business Partner means a person with whom You own a registered business in New Zealand. Certificate of Insurance means the document We send You which confirms cover provided to You under the Policy by Us. Coastal Waters means a belt of water between the limits of the New Zealand regions and a line 3 nautical miles seaward of the territorial sea baseline. Destination means the geographical region(s) or country(s) which are covered based on Your selection(s) and shown on Your Certificate of Insurance. The countries included in the region can be identified using the table on pages 32-33 and are subject to the Sanctions Exclusion. Cruise means any voyage on a ship, boat or ferry taken for pleasure or as a holiday. Disappearance means if Your body has not been found within twelve (12) months from the date of Your disappearance or the sinking/ wrecking of a conveyance in which You were travelling, We will presume, subject to there being no evidence to the contrary, You have died as a result of an Accidental Injury. Doctor means a medical practitioner qualified to diagnose the condition, disorder or injury, holding the necessary current certification in the country in which they are currently practising and who is not You or Your Relative or Your employee or Your Business Partner or Your Travelling Companion. Electronic Equipment means video and camera equipment, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, portable music playing devices, drones and any device that is battery operated or powered by electricity. Watches are not included. End Date means the end date of Your Trip, as specified on Your Certificate of Insurance. Epidemic means a sudden development and rapid spread of a contagious disease to a large number of people in the region where it developed within a previously unscathed community. Event(s) means an occurrence that could give rise to a claim for a benefit under Your Policy. Any one occurrence or series of occurrences attributable to one source or originating cause is deemed to be one Event. Excess is the first amount of each claim which You must pay. The Excess amount is specified on Your Certificate of Insurance. If a claim is covered, the Ecess is deducted after any relevant depreciation and limits have been applied to the claim amount. An Excess may also be a waiting period, which is the amount of time You have to wait until the benefit may become payable. An Excess is applied for each Plan for each Event. Family means • You; and • adult Insured listed on the Certificate of Insurance; and • any Accompanied Child / Children Foot means the entire area below the ankle. Gestation means the period during which the embryo develops inside the womb. The period of time is measured in weeks and days and is calculated from the last known date of Your menstrual period. Hand means the entire area below the wrist. Home means Your usual and permanent place of residence in New Zealand. Insolvency means bankruptcy, provisional liquidation, liquidation, insolvency, appointment of a receiver or administrator, entry into a scheme of arrangement, statutory protection stopping the payment of debts or the happening of anything of a similar nature under the laws of any jurisdiction. Issue Date means the date We agree to provide insurance under the Policy as shown on Your Certificate of Insurance. Jewellery means any item which contains precious metal or stone. Watches are not included. Limb means the entire area between the shoulder and the wrist and includes the Hand, or between the hip and the ankle and includes the Foot. Minor means a person who is under eighteen (18) years of age at the Start Date. Natural Disaster means a natural Event such as a flood, earthquake, or hurricane that causes great damage or loss of life as declared by the local regulatory body. For Events in New Zealand the relevant regulatory body will be the Insurance Council of New Zealand. Optional Benefit Pack(s) means additional benefits which You can purchase in addition to Your Plan based on Your coverage needs. Pandemic means a form of an Epidemic that extends throughout a continent or multiple continents. Period of Insurance means: Starts: • for Section 3 – “Trip Cancellation or Curtailment” Period of Insurance starts from the Issue Date. • for all other Sections Period of Insurance starts from the Trip Start Date. Ends: • for all sections Period of Insurance ends upon Your final return to Your Home from Your Trip or the End Date as shown on Your Certificate of Insurance, whichever is the earlier. Permanent Disability means: a) physical severance or total loss of the use of a Limb having lasted twelve (12) consecutive months from the date of the Accidental Injury and at the expiry of that period is beyond hope of improvement; or b) irrecoverable loss of all sight in an eye; which in each case is caused by an Accidental Injury. Personal Belongings means any personal items owned by You and that You take with You or buy on Your Trip and which are designed to be worn or carried about with You. This includes items of clothing, Jewellery, Electronic Equipment and items of personal hygiene. However, it does not mean any business samples or items that You intend to trade. Plan means the Elite Plan, Comprehensive Plan or Domestic Plan, as shown on Your Certificate of Insurance. Policy means Your Policy Wording and Certificate of Insurance. Pre-Existing Medical Condition(s) means: 1. a disease, mental or physical illness or a dental condition which gave rise to a symptom, or for which any form of treatment or prescribed medication, medical consultation, investigation or follow- up/check-up has been required or received at any time in the two (2) years prior to the Issue Date; or 2. any cardiovascular or circulatory condition (eg. Heart condition, hypertension, blood clots, raised cholesterol, stroke, aneurysm) or conditions related to: a) brain; or b) kidneys; or c) liver; or Aon Leisure Travel One Trip Insurance Policy Wording, New Zealand. d) respiratory system; or e) cancer, that occurred at any time in the five (5) years prior to Issue Date. A Pre-Existing Medical Condition is relevant to You, Your Relative, Travelling Companion, Business Partner or any other person to whom this Policy relates. Policy Wording means this document and any supplementary documents that We might issue. Public Place means shops, airports, streets, hotel foyers and grounds, restaurants, beaches, private car parks and any other place the public has access to. Relative means Your spouse/partner or de facto, parent, parent-in-law, step-parent, child, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, half-brother, half-sister, fiancé(e), niece, nephew, uncle, aunt, step-child, great-grandparent, grandparent or grandchild, provided such person is at not older than eighty (80) years of age at the Issue Date. Rental Vehicle means a sedan, campervan, hatchback, station-wagon or SUV that has been rented from a licensed motor vehicle rental company. The vehicle must have no more than 9 seats. Repatriation means Your: • transportation to the nearest hospital, if transportation is not provided free of charge in the country of incident; • evacuation to the nearest adequately equipped hospital if local medical facilities are inadequate; • return directly to Your Home; or • return Home after hospitalisation, provided that You are medically fit for travel, and that Your original means of transportation cannot be used. Resident of New Zealand means a New Zealand citizen, holder of a New Zealand permanent residency visa, partner/spouse visa, New Zealand skilled migrant visa or a student visa: a) with a right to entry into New Zealand in accordance with their citizenship, residency or visa; b) with access to long-term medical care in New Zealand; c) who has a permanent New Zealand residential address; and d) who currently resides in New Zealand. Sickness or Disease means a sickness or disease which first occurs during the Period of Insurance and requires immediate treatment by a Doctor and which is not an Accidental Injury. Single: means You (1 adult) and any Accompanied Child / Children Start Date means the Start Date of Your Trip, as specified on Your Certificate of Insurance. Terminal Illness means a medical condition for which a terminal prognosis has been given by a qualified medical practitioner and which is likely to result in death. Terrorism means activities against persons, organisations or property of any nature: a) that involves the following or preparation for the following: i. use of, or threat of, force or violence; ii. commission of, or threat of, force or violence; or iii. commission of, or threat of, an act that interferes with or disrupts an electronic, communication, information, or mechanical system; and b) when one (1) or both of the following applies; i. the effect is to intimidate or coerce a government of the civilian population or any segment thereof, or to disrupt any segment of the economy; and/or Aon Leisure Travel One Trip Insurance Policy Wording, New Zealand. ii. it appears that the intent is to intimidate or coerce a government, or to further political, ideological, religious, social or economic objectives or to express (or express opposition to) a philosophy or ideology. Travelling Companion(s) is a person(s) travelling with the Insured Person for at least 75% of the duration of the Trip. Transport Provider means a properly licensed coach operator, Cruise operator, airline or a railway company. Trip means the period from the Start Date to End Date as specified on Your Certificate of Insurance We, Our, Us or Chubb means the insurer Chubb Insurance New Zealand Limited (ABN 23 001 642 020, AFS Licence No. 239687). Winter Sports means sports activities included in the Winter Sports Pack Winter Sports Equipment means skis and bindings, ski poles, ski boots, snowboards including bindings, snowboard boots, helmet, goggles, avalanche air bag, transceiver packages, ski/snowboard pants and ski/snowboard jackets. You, Your means the Insured Person(s). Benefits Cover is provided under this section if You have purchased Aon Leisure Travel One Trip Insurance in connection with Your Trip, as evidenced by Your Certificate of Insurance. We will provide You with cover as described under “We will pay” of each Section below and provided the benefit You are claiming is covered for Your Plan. Cover is only provided for each applicable benefit: • If You satisfy eligibility criteria as outlined on page 6; • If the relevant Event occurs while You are on a Trip, where the relevant Event occurs: – while You are in a Destination as shown on Your Certificate of Insurance; or – while You are in transit to Your Destination; and • If the benefit is covered under the Plan as shown on Your Certificate of Insurance; • If the relevant covered Event occurs during the Period of Insurance whilst You are on a Trip, other than for Section 3 – “Trip Cancellation or Curtailment”, where cover commences from the Issue Date; • Up to the maximum limits and sub-limits specified in the Benefits Table; • Subject to the applicable Excess as shown on Your Certificate of Insurance; • Subject to the terms, waiting period, conditions, exclusions and limitations of the Policy. Please check these documents to make sure all the information in them is correct. Please let Us know straight away if any alterations are needed or if You change Your address or payment details. Section 1 – Overseas Medical, Repatriation and Dental Expenses We will pay under Section 1: If You suffer an Accidental Injury, or a Sickness or Disease which requires immediate medical or dental treatment on a Trip during the Period of Insurance which cannot be delayed until You return to Your Home, the following benefits will apply: Aon Leisure Travel One Trip Insurance Policy Wording, New Zealand. 1.1 We will pay for the reasonable and necessary cost of medical treatment provided outside New Zealand, and/or Repatriation costs. 1.2 We will pay for the reasonable and necessary cost of Your emergency dental treatment to sound and natural teeth provided outside of New Zealand. 1.3 If, based on medical advice, You need to extend Your stay, We will pay for Your or any other person’s (who stays or travels with You) reasonable and necessary extra accommodation costs (room only). 1.4 If, based on medical advice, during Your extended stay, You require another person to travel to Your location and stay with You, We will pay for the reasonable return economy airfare and extra accommodation costs (room-only) of that person. You must be travelling alone to be covered under this benefit. 1.5 If You are confined in a hospital overseas and We accept Your claim for overseas medical expenses under Section 1.1 of this Policy, We will pay a daily amount for each twenty-four (24) hour period. • The objective of this benefit is to contribute towards payment of Your necessary and reasonable incidental costs, such as food costs and toiletries, which You may incur as a result of Your hospital stay. • The benefit will commence after the initial hospital confinement period (waiting period) as shown in the Benefits Table. All benefits are subject to limits and sub-limits as shown in the Benefits Table including a sub-limit for Terrorism. If You are admitted to a hospital or You incur costs and expenses covered under this Section 1, You must advise Chubb Assistance as soon as practically possible. Approvals are required for all costs and expenses or for any Repatriation. There is no cover under this Section for costs and expenses that are not approved prior to being incurred. See Terms & Conditions applicable to Section 1 only below. We will not pay under Section 1: For Your cost of medical treatment, Repatriation cost, emergency dental treatment, extra accommodation costs incurred twelve (12) months after the Event date. Terms & Conditions applicable to Section 1 only We have the option of returning You to New Zealand if the cost of overseas medical and/or additional expenses are likely to exceed the cost of returning You to New Zealand, subject always to medical advice. We also have the option of evacuating You to another country. However, if We return You to New Zealand We shall not be liable to pay or reimburse You any medical or dental expenses that are incurred in New Zealand. a) In all cases, the cost of evacuation or Repatriation will only be paid if it was arranged by and deemed reasonable and necessary by Chubb Assistance, except if due to reasons beyond Your control, You are unable to notify Chubb Assistance to make the necessary evacuation or Repatriation arrangements. In that case, We shall, if satisfied that the evacuation was due to the necessary medical treatment not being available either at the nearest hospital where You were transported to or in the immediate vicinity thereof, reimburse You for expenses incurred in relation to the evacuation or Repatriation, up to the amount which Chubb Assistance, in its reasonable assessment, would have incurred for services provided under the same circumstances, subject to the terms and conditions of this Policy. b) Chubb Assistance or its representative shall arrange for the evacuation or Repatriation within a reasonable timeframe and utilise the best suited means based on the medical severity of Your condition, including but not limited to air ambulance, surface ambulance, regular air transportation, railroad or any other appropriate means. All decisions as to the means of transportation and the final destination will be made by Chubb Assistance, or its representative, and will be based solely upon medical necessity. You may, in appropriate circumstances, be returned to New Zealand. c) We retain the right to appoint another Doctor or seek second opinion so that We can confirm what medical treatment or expenses are necessary and whether evacuation or Repatriation is necessary. Section 2 – Resumption of Trip (Trip duration must exceed twenty-two (22) days) We will pay under Section 2: 2.1 If, during the Period of Insurance and while on a Trip, Your Trip is interrupted by Your temporary return Home due to an Accidental Injury or Sickness or Disease or death of a Relative or Business Partner in New Zealand, We will pay or reimburse Your reasonable additional transport expenses actually and necessarily incurred by You to resume Your Trip. If You return Home in the circumstances set out in 2.1 above, there is no cover under this Policy while You are in New Zealand and cover will recommence once You resume Your Trip. Terms & Conditions applicable to Section 2 only We will pay under Section 2 provided: a) Your Period of Insurance was at least twenty- three (23) days in duration; b) no greater than 50% of the Period of Insurance had elapsed at the time of the onset of the Relative’s or Business Partner’s Accidental Injury, Sickness or Disease or death; c) the resumption of Your Trip occurs prior to the expiry of the Period of Insurance as shown on Your Certificate of Insurance; d) the Period of Insurance will not be extended as a result of resumption of Your Trip under this Section; e) no claim due to the same Event is made under Section 3 Trip Cancellation or Curtailment of this Policy; f) the death or Accidental Injury of Your Relative or Business Partner in New Zealand, if relevant, did not occur prior to the commencement of Your Trip; and g) the onset of the Sickness or Disease of a Relative or Business Partner in New Zealand, if relevant, did not occur prior to the commencement of Your Trip or You or a reasonable person in the circumstances would not have been aware of the onset of the Sickness or Disease prior to the commencement of Your Trip. Section 3 – Trip Cancellation or Curtailment We will pay under Section 3: 3.1 For loss of pre-paid Trip expenses: If following the Issue Date of Your Policy, You cancel or curtail (cut short) Your Trip due to any one of the Specified Events listed below, We will pay or reimburse Your non-refundable, unused portion of all travel expenses prepaid in advance including a travel agent’s cancellation fee. You must select the amount of coverage You require. The maximum amount We will reimburse for the travel agent’s cancellation fee is limited to the amounts shown in the Benefits Table. The maximum amount We will reimburse for any claim arising, directly or indirectly from an automatically covered Pre-Existing Medical Condition of a Relative, Travelling Companion or Aon Leisure Travel One Trip Insurance Policy Wording, New Zealand.
