Mrs. Panara is teaming up again with Busch Gardens in Tampa to collect cellphones for the Gorillas on the Line Collection for 2021. If you have any old or broken cellphones please drop them off to her classroom, 2-208, by May 1st. There are about 4,500 of these animals remaining in Africa. Their decline can be attributed to habitat loss due to mining for a valuable metal called coltan, which is used in many of our small electronic devices like cell phones. Please join us in help gorillas in the wild by recycling old cell phones and decrease the demand for coltan.
