Animal Cluster Presentation Brochure 4 Animal Cluster Business Profile Cosy Calf Ltd Mandy Turner Director Sandpits Poultry Farm Broadwindsor, Beaminster Dorset DT8 3RB Tel : +44(0) 1308 868337 Email : mandy@cosycalf.co.uk Web : www.cosycalf.co.uk Company formed in 2012. Cosy calf is the Registered Designer and supplier of calf jackets used in the agricultural industry. The product is for use from birth up to around 5 weeks of age on calves. The benefits of using calf jackets is to make better use of energy from feed for growth rather than warmth thus making cost savings of feed and bedding. The jackets allow for better ventilation in calf rearing areas so as to reduce the out breaks of pneumonia. Trials have shown much better growth rates and significantly reduced cases of pneumonia and scours in calves with jackets. Targets of getting heifers into the parlour by 2 years of age mean that growth rates start from day one. A calf uses 2% of its energy from feed for every 1 degree below 10 degrees C if it is under a month old, therefore at 0 degrees C the calf uses 20% of its energy from feed just to keep warm. In the UK now the majority of farms use calf jackets as a matter of protocol on all caves under a month old when the temperature drops below 10 degrees C. A great return on your investment.

She wished she had a feed scoop with teeth. The SKŪP is the first product from HŪF Design. It was launched at the BETA International Trade Fair in February 2015 where it won the Innovation Award for Horse Care Equipment and Horse Clothing. The SKŪP has been intelligently designed to resolve the shortcomings in traditional feed scoops. It has very clear measuring guides making consistent and accurate feeding easy. Its elongated profile will reach into the corners of feed bins. The integrated handle allows you to hold the SKŪP comfortably. The SKŪP stands up and is stackable making it easy to store. What makes the SKŪP so innovative is the teeth which break up sticky and compacted feed without having to use your hands. The SKŪP has been for sale in the UK for the last year and HŪF Design would now like to give you the opportunity to buy the SKŪP in your country.
