“TEN COMMANDMENTS OF A
SCI HUNT AUCTION”
1. Thou Shalt Bid High. It is a FUNDRAISER.
Paying full price or more is honorable.
2. Thou shalt contact the donor/outfitter immediately
to book your trip.
Waiting months to book is unacceptable.
3. Thou shalt book for open dates.
Do not expect a donor to cater to your dates.
4. Thou shalt book and confirm hunt dates in a
timely fashion.
It should not take a year to make up your mind.
5. Thou shalt realize thou are not the only client on
the planet.
Other clients are already booked, deal with it.
6. Thou shalt upgrade a donation whenever possible.
Bring a buddy; add animals or days if you can.
7. Thou shalt not blame thy guide for poor shooting.
Two shots to sight-in is not practice.
8. Thou shalt not blame thy donor for weather
problems.
Delays and poor weather are everywhere.
9. Thou shalt not covet larger trophies.
It’s hunting, everyone cannot be #1.
10. Thou shalt recognize SCI is not responsible for
the quality of donor, game taken or not taken
or thou as a hunter.
Be a class sportsman or sportswoman, you are
representing the rest of us in SCI.

The Northeast Wisconsin Chapter of Safari Club International represents
a dynamic group of members dedicated to the preservation of our hunting
heritage.
We believe that the future of responsible game management resides
within the next generation of hunters and the continued support of sportsmen
and women around the globe.
We support programs that introduce young adults to the outdoor life,
and that teach the ethics of "fair chase" and respect for wild places and it's
inhabitants.
We promote education and public awareness about our role as
conservationists and champions of hunters rights.
We firmly believe in the value of hunting as both a game management

As a coalition of sportsmen and women dedicated to the advancement

hunts before the banquet or the quality of the hunts, for the satisfaction of either the
buyer or the donor, for price changes in fees that are not part of the donation or changes
in Government regulation.
All items are sold or raffled ‘as is’. The Chapter does not make or express any warranties
or representation of any kind or nature with respect to the item or hunt description,
genuineness, attributions, provenance, or condition. Any warranties with respect to
items or hunts are those solely and expressly supplied by the manufacture or donor.
“All Firearms, Raffle Items and Silent Auction Items are Subject to Availability”. Raffle
ticket purchasers, auction bidders and all winners must meet all age requirements and
be in compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
“SPECIAL NOTES TO REMEMBER”
African and International Hunts: If you are interested in bidding on an African
Safari or International Hunt and are unfamiliar with the daily fee / trophy fee system
outfitters use, please talk to an SCI member who has been there or one of the outfitters
prior to the auction to make sure you understand what is and what is not included in
the donation.
All Hunts: Unless otherwise stated, assume that the license / tag fees, taxidermy,
dipping, packing and shipping of trophies along with all taxes are not included in the
donations. Also, unless stated, it is the hunter’s responsibility to apply for and secure
licenses, confirm dates with the outfitter and take the hunt / trip for the time period
listed in the description of the donation. Unless otherwise stated all monies stated
in descriptions are in US dollars. It is also assumed that transportation to and from
hunting location is not included in the donation along with any before or after lodging
and meals.
“SILENT AUCTION RULES”
When there is 2 minutes left to the Silent Auction an Official will announce it and tell
anyone standing directly near an auction item to bid and stand back!
Auction Officials will disqualify the bid of any person who attempts to block any
other bidder. If a person’s bid is disqualified, the bid of the next person immediately
preceding it will be honored.
In the event of a dispute, the Auction Official shall have the final authority to determine
the winning bidder.
If the auction official determines that more than one bidder is actively pursuing an item
they will be allowed to keep bidding by returning to the back of the line and be allowed
to keep bidding until every other bidder has dropped out.

"AUCTION and RAFFLE CONDITIONS"
WINNER OF RAFFLE OR OTHER PRIZES
• The SCI Northeast Wisconsin Chapter (Chapter) must report raffle winning to the
IRS on Form WG2 Miscellaneous Income. In order to claim your prize, a “Prize
Claim Receipt” and / or Federal Firearms Form, must be completed with your name,
address, social security number and other required information.
• Winners and bidders must meet all age requirements and be in compliance with all
local, state and federal laws.
PAYMENT AND DISTRIBUTION OF ITEMS
• Payment must be made the day of purchase.
• All non-hunt items must be picked up the day of sale or raffle. Items or hunts left
in Chapter’s inventory, either unpaid or uncollected, will be deemed ‘no sale’ or
‘uncollected’ items and hunts subject to Chapter's disposal at will.
ITEMS
• Packing or transportation of all items is completely independent of Chapter and are
the sole responsibilities of purchaser or raffle item winner.
• Chapter assumes no responsibility for any damage or loss that may occur during
packing or transportation.
• Items may be removed only after paying for them and completing the “Prize Claim
Receipt” and / or Federal Firearms Registration Form, as required.
BIDDING PROCEDURES AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
• All items are sold or raffled ‘as is’. Chapter does not make or express any warranties
or representation of any kind or nature with respect to the item or hunt description,
genuineness, attributions, provenance, or condition. Any warranties with respect to
items or hunts are those solely and expressly supplied by the manufacture or donor.
• The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In case
of dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have the sole and final discretion to
determine the successful bidder.
• After each item’s sale, the successful bidder will be given a ‘Buyer’s Agreement’ for
signature. For silent auctions, the ‘Silent Auction Bid Sheet’ is considered a Buyer’s
Agreement to purchase the indicated item. All Buyer’s Agreement signatures are
legal and binding.
• Silent Auction bidding will be closed at the time the Silent Action bid sheet is
collected.
• All sales are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds.
• Chapter does not guarantee the satisfaction to either donor or purchaser.
• It is purchaser’s responsibility to contact hunt or trip donor immediately and make all
arrangements for hunt or trip and the application of necessary paperwork for licenses,
visas, passports and permits.
• Chapter reserves the right to withdraw any donated hunt or item from auction that
does not receive its minimum bid.
• All raffle and auction transactions are subject to age requirements and all local, state
and federal laws.
• Chapter is a 501(c) 4 corporation and donations may not be tax deductible.

SCI, Safari Club International of Northeast Wisconsin welcomes you to our
20th Annual Hunter’s Banquet and Live Auction. This is your chapter and
your fund raiser. Please keep the goal in sight that we have at SCI. That being
defending the rights of you “THE HUNTER”.
This year we have a request to those that support SCI at this event. The request
is simple. Spread the word of SCI. On your adventures where ever they take
you, wear your SCI apparel. Create awareness for those that are not aware of
what SCI is and our goals. If the opportunity presents itself, simply explain
what SCI does for the industry. Encourage them to Attend an SCI function,
and certainly encourage new membership, or remember the gift of SCI.
It seems every year at Expo we encourage you to support those that support us,
meaning the outfitters and donors that make our event possible. Place yourself
in their boots, and understand they would welcome your support beyond this
banquet. I ask everyone to make note of item number six on the previous
page. Upgrade, and support the donor. This is not any different than any
other business that spends money on advertising to gain additional business.
That business spends it to gain it, and this is so true of our donors. They are
donating, for us to support beyond. This is our responsibility.

hunting organization on the globe. Remember to spend like your way of life
