Make your Christmas one to remember... When it comes to the festive season, there’s nowhere quite like our cosy pubs. It doesn’t get cosier then roaring log fires, Christmas Eve carols and festive feats. Snuggle up with your nearest dearest and enjoy a glass of warm mulled wine and roast a few chestnuts by our flickering fires.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… We pride ourselves on making the festive season the most magical of them all. From cosy dinners to Christmas Day feasts, we have the perfect crowd-pleasing menu for you. If it’s a family gathering or Christmas party you’re looking for, our private dining rooms offer an intimate venue. Why not take the stress out of Christmas and dine with us over the festive season or even go a step further and join us for a two or three night festive break? For that perfect Christmas get-away, our beautifully decorated bedrooms are a great place to recoup and to enjoy the English countryside.

Our mouth-watering three-course festive set menu is guaranteed to make sure your get-together goes off with a bang. Our in-house DJ will be playing on the Thursday 8th, 15th and 22nd December, so please do ask for dates. If you’re looking for a more intimate setting, we have two private rooms. We can also offer you exclusive use of our restaurant for larger parties. Lunch - Two Courses - £23.95 / Three Courses - £27.95 - (Monday to Friday) Dinner - Three Courses - £27.95 - (Monday to Friday) If you are looking for somewhere to hold a larger celebration or want exclusivity for your work Christmas party then we have some great packages we can offer. Saturday 26th November and 3rd December - Brunch wreath making class with Maddy from Maddy’s Flowers. 11am - 3pm Join us for a delicious brunch and create your own unique festive wreath. Maddy will be using her years of experience, to show that by creating different shapes and using an abundance of luscious wild materials, you can create something that wouldn’t look out of place in a glossy magazine. If you have a jazzy apron and your own secateurs then please feel free to bring along (not compulsory). Price £75pp - includes wreath making class and your wreath, two course brunch and a glass of Prosecco Tuesday 20th December - Children’s Festive Afternoon Tea with Santa - 3pm - 5.30pm Join us for a magical festive afternoon tea with Santa Clause. Santa is taking a quick break from his festive preparations to answer your little ones burning questions and read a them festive story. Price: £16 per child includes Afternoon Tea, story time with Santa and gift. Adults if you fancy a treat you can enjoy a delicious Full Afternoon Tea as well for £16.95. Or upgrade to Prosecco for £23.95 Wednesday 21st December - Christmas sing-a-long. 7.30pm - 9pm We can’t think of anything that says festive cheer more than carolling by a cosy open fire. That’s why you’re invited to spend the evening belting out yuletide favourites. Of course, vocal chords will be kept lubricated with mulled wine.

Saturday 31st December - The Hornblower House Party Serving food all day from 12 - 8pm - Arrival 7pm ‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, It’s time to make up for lost time and dance your way in to 2023 not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. Well that’s at the biggest House party in town. We will have fantastic music because everyone was at the Hornblower, soaking up festive and food to ensure you have a hell of a night! cheer next to our cosy open fires. Price £75pp - includes dinner and music. Sunday 25th December - Christmas Day Sunday 1st January - New Year’s Day. 12pm - 6pm The most wonderful day of the year.
