Additive Manufacturing Meets Medicine 3rd International Conference AMMM 2021 Sep 8 -10, 2021 | 12 CME points Conference Program www.ammm.science
About AMMM The Conference AMMM 3D printing is of outstanding importance in medical engineering and has been growing continuously in recent years. From prostheses and soft implants to matrices for tissue engineering, additive manufacturing has decisive advantages for medicine. The scientific online conference AMMM 2021 brings together engineers, scientists and technicians with physicians and entrepreneurs to discuss the latest achievements in 3D printing development for medicine. We have decided to hold the AMMM digitally once again in 2021. Even if every person willing to be vaccinated had the opportunity to be vaccinated by September 2021, there would still be considerable risks for a face- to-face event, which would argue in favor of holding the AMMM digitally in 2021 again, especially since the digital format in 2020 was very successful and had a high reach. In weighing the digital form against presence, the risk of a potentially vaccine-resistant mutation of the virus had to be evaluated, as well as the question of whether we would also be facing a third pandemic wave as a result in fall 2021. Equally serious, we assessed the potentially complex entry arrangements of non-vaccinated individuals and potential travel restrictions of non-vaccinated participants. Due to the topicality and the broad discussion of the use of additive manufacturing for protective and therapeutic devices in the fight against corona, we again want to take this into account and add a special focus on Anti-Corona Aids and Devices. All accepted contributions will be published in the 3rd Volume of the Transactions on Additive Manufacturing Meets Medicine(Trans. AMMM - ISSN: 2699-1977). With the third volume, it is planned to submit the Transactions to Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science. We look forward to your submissions and to your online presentation in September 2021. www.ammm.science/home/previous-conferences Transactions on AMMM Questions about the precision and interaction of the printed materials with their future application matrix are important for all industries. However, these requirements are of particular interest in the medical environment, where biological compatibility and long-term stability are of particular importance. Medical technology companies are also faced with the question of whether this modern manufacturing technology should only be used in prototype and individualized sample development or also in series production. Costs and benefits have to be assessed very individually. The Transactions on AMMM will focus on these questions, with particular emphasis on the medical device regulation of patient-specific devices. www.journals.infinite-science.de/ammm www.ammm.science
