Erection Problems Find out more from the Pharmacy Assistant Workbook EPs are estimated to affect half of men aged 40-70, rising to 70% for men over 70.3 Although EPs are more common with increasing age, younger men are affected too. Modern lives are stressful (worries over health, finances or work take their toll). EPs can occur at any age. How do they feel? Men may think the ability to get an erection is a direct reflection of their masculinity, rather than perhaps as a result of their health and lifestyle. They may feel frustrated, anxious, depressed or start to lose self- esteem and confidence. Partners may feel rejected, unattractive or guilty. Problems with a couple’s sex life can have knock-on effects on other areas of their relationship. PP-VUJ-GBR-0504 January 2021.
