Preschool Building Blocks The Building Blocks Preschool Programs are dedicated to providing a safe environment for each child to grow emotionally, physically, socially, and intellectually. Our teachers make a commitment to support families and children by following Developmentally Appropriate Practices. In our programs, each child is recognized and respected as an individual, and each is nurtured and cherished. Building Blocks Explorers: age 2-3 years Is your child ready for independence at school...but not yet fully toilet trained? This class offers an opportunity for your child to learn independence, participate in social activities, movement and exploration with our trained Building Blocks teachers. Utilizing a play-based curriculum, we support our innovators by engaging in activities that will promote creativity, a growth mindset, and problem-solving skills. Police Activities League The San Mateo Police Activities League Building the Bond Between Cops and Kids Our nonprofit organization seeks to promote trust and understanding between “cops and kids” – bringing youth under the supervision and constructive influence of our city’s police officers and other positive role models in a wide range of activities. We have made a commitment to our community to provide activities at little or no cost to our members. Our goal is to provide everyone with an opportunity to participate in PAL’s numerous activities regardless of financial hardships. Become a Member How to Register – It’s EASY! Youth Sports & Fitness Martial Arts KARATE The following Karate classes are taught by Sensei Bernard Edwards and are held at the San Mateo Senior Center.
