Following the UK Finals, Jack and 2018 winner Lewis Newton were selected for to join Squad UK in the lead up to WorldSkills Shanghai in 2021. Along with students and apprentices from across the nation, the duo will spend 18 months training in the WorldSkills UK Talent Programme before facing a selection test to become part of Team UK at WorldSkills Shanghai 2021. Taking part in WorldSkills UK competitions provides a great opportunity for students to raise their confidence and enhance their employability skills. It is the perfect motivational platform for students to fine-tune their skills, test them against others and receive up-to-date careers advice. “The finals were challenging, and I’d done quite a lot of preparation for the competition. Happening all on one amazing evening, the Creative Showcase celebrates the fantastic work that our art, design, fashion, floristry and digital media students create as part of their qualification.
