and how these achievements accomplish the goals and targets of our wise leadership, and as
far as these ambitions represent the hopes and desires of our nation, they will be kept in

Al-Ahli Club Dubai now follows a new strategy with a clear realistic vision and mission.
Developing Al-Ahli Dubai Open – which has attained a great success on the GCC level and on
the international level – is one of the most important goals taking priority in our strategy to
improve the individual sports and enhance creativity and excellence with the unlimited
support of our wise leaders His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice
President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, The
Honorable President of Al-Ahli Club , and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid

The UAE Taekwondo and Karate Federation is taking strides towards developing the
karate sport on the national level as well as acquiring achievements in the Gulf and the
Arab region and internationally.
We consider “Al-Ahli Dubai Open” the most important sports event conducted during the
year for Al-Ahli Club which reflects its ability - together with other clubs - to fulfill the
vision and mission of our leader His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan
President of United Arab Emirates and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of
Dubai.
And so, it is obligatory to show the improvement of Al-Ahli Club from year to year
through the organization of “Al-Ahli Dubai Open” with regards to having reached
astounding levels of professionalism in organizational, technical and referral standards.
I would like to thank Al-Ahli Club for its appreciated help and continuous support to the
sport of karate in UAE that comes from the conviction of its administration regarding the
importance of individual games in general and karate in particular in achieving global
success standards.

1. RULES
The 4th INTERNATIONAL KARATE AL-AHLI DUBAI OPEN 2015 will be conducted in accordance
with the New WKF Rules (Version 2015) for Kata & Kumite.
In case of a disagreement in the interpretation of rules, the English text of the rules shall prevail.
Any unforeseen incident not covered by the Rules shall be dealt with accordingly in the following
manner.

4. INSURANCE
All participants and members of delegations must affect their own medical insurance and personal
trip insurance. Al Ahli Club and the UAE Taekwondo & Karate Federation are not liable for this
purpose.
5. REGISTRATION ONLINE & CLOSING DATE

How to register online:
For registration you need a team / club account.
For users having a team / club account, please re-use your account. In this case you can also re-
use
all competitors, coaches, referees and officials data you already entered.
If you have forgotten or lost your account data, please contact our team. We will reset the
password and send you Username and new Password.
For teams that have no account yet, please register online and create a new account team /
club account.
For registration of competitors, coaches, referees and officials please do the following steps:
1. Log in with your account
2. Check your team data. Please check if the data is correct and up to date
3. Enter or change the data of your competitors, coaches, referees and officials. Upload a picture
for all participants you want to register.
4. In the event calendar go to the 4th INTERNATIONAL KARATE OPEN DUBAI 2015, Click on the
“Registration” button of the event.
5. On the bottom of the entries site you will see the functions to make new entries.
6. Register your competitors / teams in categories, coaches, referees and officials.

NB:
Each federation/Club can register only 3 players per category in Kata & Kumite.
Each federation/Club can register only 2 teams per category in Kata & Kumite.
The Organizing Committee accepts only the registration made online at Sportdata.
No registration is acceptable after the mentioned closing date.
For any change after the closing date there is a penalty of 40 US $ per each change.
After the closing date we don’t accept any new registration.
In our Event the mix team is not allowed.
Each participant can compete only in his/her real weight and category.
Each contestant can represent only one Federation or Club in this event.
The online Registration is open only for the participants from outside the U.A.E.
Kumite team consists of three players and two reserves in all the categories.
The repechage system will be applies only in senior categories.
Children under 14 years may perform any kata that they choose; they can repeat the kata
after 2 kata deferent.
All protective equipment must be WKF homologated for Cadet – Juniors – Seniors.
The head Protection is obligatory for all kumite categories under 14 years old ( Bleu &
Read color )
The Organizing Committee limits the coaches number to the following:
Up to 5 players One Coach.
Up to 10 Players Tow Coaches.
Up to 15 Players Three Coaches.
More than 15 Players Four Coaches.
6. DURATION OF BOUT
For seniors – juniors – Cadets (WKF rules)
For 10/11/12/13 years old will be 1:30 min.
7. EXPENSES / PARTICIPANTS FEES:
50 U.S $ per contestant/entry.
100 U.S $ per team (Kata/Kumite) per/entry.
The Organizing Committee will offer cash fees only for the official referees and judges who are
registered online at sportdata and attended the referee briefing on 28th Jan following from:
National Referees 50 U.S $ per day, full days 200 U.S $
Continental Referees 75 U.S $ per day, full days 300 U.S $
WKF Referees 100 U.S $ per day, full days 400 U.S $

Dubai Top 10 Tourist Attractions
1. Burj Al Arab
The Burj Al Arab (Tower of the Arabs) is the world's only 7 star hotel and
designed to resemble a billowing sail, the Burj Al Arab soars to a height of
321 meters, dominating the Dubai skyline making it the fourth tallest hotel
in the world.
It truly is one of the most iconic symbols of Dubai and is a majestic building.
No trip to Dubai would be complete without at least seeing it! There are
various viewpoints you can take photos from but one of the best is from the
public beach next to it... there you will get that Dubai shot of you on the beach with The Burj in the
back ground.
It is one of the most photographed structures in the world, and consistently voted the worlds most
luxurious hotel. It is illuminated at night by choreographed lighting making it an impressive
building day or night!
2. Burj Khalifa
The Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest tower and is an amazing feat of
engineering- the story of which you can see if you take a trip to "At The Top"- the
highest viewing platform in the world.
The high point of any Burj Khalifa experience is the view from At The Top.
Located on level 124 of the world's tallest tower, this observatory is destined to
be the highlight of any visit to the Middle East.
The journey begins in the lower ground level of The Dubai Mall. Throughout the journey to the
top, visitors are entertained by a multi-media presentation of the exotic history of Dubai and the
marvel that is the Burj Khalifa.
EW top tip is to buy your tickets online in advance as you can save about 300 Dhs per person
doing this. The slots sell out fast though- especially the sun set ones so make sure you get booked
in in time!
3. The Dubai Fountains
At the base of the world's tallest tower is one of the world's most amazing
fountains! In fact it is the world's largest dancing fountain!
Set on the 30-acre Burj Khalifa Lake, the fountain shoots water jets as high as
500 ft, equivalent to that of a 50-storey building. The fountain is 900 ft long and
has five circles of varying sizes and two central arcs. It is designed by California-
based WET, the creators of the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas.
The Dubai Fountain performs daily, with the performance repertoire including
Sama Dubai; Baba Yetu, an award-winning song in Swahili; the Arab world’s
top-selling dance number Shik Shak Shok; and the signature piece of world-
renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, Con te partiro (Time to Say Goodbye).
Over 6,600 WET Superlights and 25 colour projectors create a visual spectrum of over 1,000
abstract attractions. The beam of light shining upward from the fountain can be seen from over 20
miles away, and will be visible from space making it the brightest spot in the Middle East, and
quite possibly in the entire world.

4. Atlantis Hotel
Atlantis is the majestic resort in Dubai situated on the Palm, a man-made
island that has captured the world’s imagination with its magnificent scale
and ingenuity.

8. Ski Dubai

One of Dubai's newer tourist attractions is Dubai marina. The marina is

Dubai Shopping Festival
Thursday 1st January - Sunday, 1st February 2014
Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) takes place every winter with its mammoth array of discounts,
competitions, prizes, fireworks and entertainment. DSF offers amazing shopping discounts,
attracting holiday makers from around the globe keen on grabbing a bargain. The festival began in
1996 as an initiative of the Dubai government to promote trade, and it gets bigger and better
every year. DSF is not only a retail festival, but also a family festival with a large focus on mall-
based entertainment and early evening shows.
Its continued success is proven by the large number of tourists from not only the GCC but also the
rest of the world.
Traditionally, the festival runs from mid-January to the end of February and it kicks off with a
huge opening night that features light shows and fireworks across the Dubai Creek, which are then
continued throughout the entire festival.
Other events associated with DSF range from in-mall fashion shows, musicians, street performers,
jugglers and other entertainers.
Shoppers not only have the opportunity to grab the latest designer threads or high street must-

Cancellation Policy:
At least 30 days prior to arrival: free of charge
20 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total booking price
15 days prior to arrival: 100% of the total booking price

For the countries that require visa, and want to apply they should send the colored passport copy
through e-mail to (karate@compasstourism.ae) before 04 Jan the Deadline Date of Accepting the
Passport copy to apply for visa.
Visa issues need minimum 7 working days, maximum 14 days.
Booking Procedures:
1. Fill in the Accommodation and Transfer Application Form, and email it to the Organizing
Committee of 4th International Karate Open Al-ahli Dubai-2015
2. After receiving the application, and verifying your booking reservation, a performance
invoice will be emailed to the applicant.
3. Upon receiving the performance invoice, the applicant shall pay 50% of the total amount
within 7 days from the date of invoice, failure in this procedure will cause the booking to be
considered null and void
4. The remaining balance (50% of payment) shall be paid in full before January 05th , 2015.
5. For any booking applications received after January 05th , 2015, upon receiving the
performance invoice, the applicant shall pay the full amount within 7 days from the date of
the invoice; failure in this procedure will cause the booking to be considered null and void.
