3M Health Care Academy SM 3M Nordic Temperature Management Scientific Event May 30-31st, 2018 Copenhagen, Denmark
2018 NORDIC SCIENTIFIC EVENT ABOUT TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT For the 7th year in a row, we at 3M are proud to invite you to the Nordic Temperature Management Scientific Event taking place this year in Copenhagen May 30-31st 2018. This event has been highly appreciated by the delegates over the years and several participants return year after year. With a combination of best practise sharing, theoretical lectures from international experts, team workshops and hospital visits the event provides several perspectives and new input on temperature management of surgical patients. This event is open for health care professionals with special interest in preventing hypothermia. It is a good idea to travel as a cross-professional team from the hospital (example AN-nurse, anesthesiologist and OR-staff) since it is often very valuable in order to align the teams involved in the surgical pathway in their temperature management approach to reach consistency and successful prevention of hypothermia and associated risks to improve patient outcome. This year we will put an extra focus on temperature monitoring and European experts in the field will share new clinical research. We will introduce a new tool supporting implementation of available guidelines, developed in cooperation with one of the authors of the Danish national guidelines around hypothermia prevention in adult surgical patients. You will also get the opportunity to listen to and see how the new Bair Hugger temperature monitoring system has been implemented at Hvidovre Hospital in Copenhagen through a field visit, to share insights and ideas around implementing a new clinical practise. The event will take place in association with the ESA European Society of Anesthesiology Congress in Copenhagen June 2-4th 2018.
