Students are given the opportunity to participate and play the instruments, exploring rhythm and sound. The music in this program will give the students insight into an ancient civilization! EAST AFRICA / MUSIC Songs of Uganda This workshop involves drumming, singing and dance from Uganda in East Africa presented by the talented Joseph. He shares his Baga heritage from the Baganda tribe in Uganda. He begins by performing traditional songs in the Baganda language accompanied by the Bakisimba dance and Kidigida rhythms. Joseph FRANCE / MUSIC was trained in Uganda and has worked with Les Chansons Francais many traditional drummers in East Africa.
