2022 Cookie Program Basic Info Due to COVID 19, we recommend that the girls participate online. If they decide to do order card please make sure you COVID-19 have them follow the GSVSC IDP, CDC and Virginia guidelines for social distancing, wearing a mask, and handwashing December 6, 2021 through March 31, 2022 PROGRAM DATES Remember the Girl Scout Promise and Law! Families are on their honor not to take orders before December 6, 2021. $5.00 per package COST $1.00 per package; $1.15 for troops that OPT OUT of the rewards program TROOP PROFIT Nine different cookies: Lemon-Ups, Trefoils, Do-Si-Dos, Samoas, Tagalongs, Thin VARIETIES Mints, Girl Scout S’mores, and Toffee-tastic (gluten free) NEW! Adventurefuls The cookie program provides each girl an opportunity to develop skills in goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. BENEFITS Additionally, girls gain confidence as they realize their goals and achieve success by participating in the cookie program. Gift of Caring—Military/First Responders GSVSC Customers can buy a virtual package of cookies to donate to the Gift of Caring SERVICE program. Girls can get a special “Gift of Caring” patch for 15 packages sold. PROJECT Troops will have cookies starting the week of January 4-7, 2022 and be able to sell Cookies in Hand through March 31, 2022. Booths start Jan. 8, 2022 Help your daughter set her reward goals for the program — patches, t-shirt, stuffed animal, pearl, cookie dough. Refer to the back of the order card to see the entire list of rewards being offered. (Segment bars for certain levels can be purchased through the Skyline Shop.) REWARDS The rewards are cumulative from 24 packages through our “String of Pearls” membership for the 1000+ participants; and there is a highest achiever reward of a Photo on next year’s order card. If the troop decides to OPT OUT of the rewards program, the girl still be SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT THE OPT eligible to receive the patches, the pearl and the Photo on next year’s order OUT CHOICE card. Each girl and parent must sign an opt out form. Each girl must submit a signed parent permission slip to the troop leader or troop cookie manager before participating in the program. Parents need to attend the PARENTS NEED troop’s cookie program training session so that they can review their daughter’s TO KNOW aspects of selling techniques and vital safety points and learn about the troop’s goal for selling.

Make sure you let your facilitator know you paid by phone. (All cookies from December 6, 2021 to January 31, 2022 will count in this 30% payment including pending orders.) The 30% will come from Amount You Owe Council, which is located under the sales report tab in eBudde Area Rep/Service Unit Program Manager will provide troop with the 30% amount due by February 11. Troop Final Payment: Payment is due to Service Unit Program Manager or Council no later than April 5, 2022 (Troops will need to look in eBudde for final payment under the sales report tab) Troops can call council to pay over the phone with troop debit card. Make sure you let your Service Unit Program Manager know you paid by phone. Phone number 540-777-5100 Girl Payments: Collect money from the girls at each troop meeting and deposit into the troop checking account. All monies are due to the troop no later than March 31, 2022.
Council Guidelines 1. All girls must be a currently registered Girl Scout member 2. All products sold must be currently offered products. We are NOT allowed to sell expired products. 3. All products must be sold at the prices set by the council. NO EXCEPTIONS! 4. All payments to the troop must be paid in full by the deadline or individual incentives will be withheld until the full payment is received. Social Media Guidelines See separate detailed guidelines Safety Activity Checkpoint: Social Media Girls are only to use the internet to market the Girl Scout Cookie Program to friends and family. You can advertise only on your PRIVATE Facebook page or other PRIVATE social media pages. The Girl Scout Cookie Program is a girl-led program and online marketing and sales efforts should always be led by a girl while also being supervised by her parents/caretakers. Friends and family of a girl participating in the cookie program must not market or share a girl’s contact information, sales links, or sales information on public-facing online sites. They also should not share their sales link with any news outlets (this includes online and traditional news media, such as radio, television, or magazines). For safety concerns, online marketing activities, especially those conducted through social media platforms, should always be done through accounts set to “private.” Should any online marketing activities be identified as a violation of the “Girl Scout Cookie/Council-Sponsored Product Sale: Safety Activity Checkpoints” (www.gsvsc.org/en/about-girl-scouts/our-program/safetyactivitycheckpoints.html), Girl Scouts of the USA or Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council reserves the right to intervene and request removal of the post.
2022 Girl Scout Cookie Program Reminders Cookie Delivery: Verify quantity and check for damages. Girl Delivery All orders placed for girl delivery are paid when ordered online. The girls must fill orders and deliver to the customer. Parents will need to communicate what cookies they need to fill on the Digital Order Card with their troop cookie manager after the initial order. Parent/Girl has five days to approve girl delivery. Warehouse Pickups All requests for extra cookies for pickup from a warehouse will need to be submitted to productsale@gsvsc.org for approval before you can go to a warehouse (Lawrence Transportation). Once your order is received, we will process a delivery ticket and let Lawrence know they have a pick up order. Lawrence will call you when your order is ready for pickup. Booth Rules Two Girls and two adults must always be present; one adult must be a female. One adult must be a currently registered Girl Scout with a cleared criminal background check. If you want to do a booth outside of your service unit or Virginia Skyline Council region, then you must contact your service unit product program manager and she will help you secure a booth by going through the proper procedure. All booth requests must go through your booth manager unless instructed otherwise. Troops must order cookies in full cases: 12 packages = 1case. See separate page on additional booth and safety guidelines. (Troops with overstock must contact council for permission to extend booth sales) Damages Troops and cupboards will need to report damages to productsale@gsvsc.org along with a picture of the damage product. The Council Product Manager will remove damaged cookies in eBudde for the troop. Once cookies have been approved as damaged, then the Council Product Manager will instruct you on the next step. Each time you have damaged cookies you must repeat this process. Volunteer Patches You will need to request these in eBudde, only two per troop.
Types of Booths (See separate detailed guidelines) Lemonade Stands: Must be held on parent/girl personal property/home. A parent must be on premises with visibility of girl No personal address in eBudde Individual Booths: Must be scheduled with Service Unit Booth Manager Minimum attendees must include one girl and two adults. One adult must be a female. One adult must be a parent and one must be a registered Girl Scout and have a current background check. See detailed guidelines for older girl information Drive thru Booths: Must be scheduled with Service Unit Booth Manager Minimum attendees- One adult must be a female. One adult must be a registered Girl Scout and have a current background check. (same as individual booths see separate detailed guidelines) Troop Booth: Must be scheduled with Service Unit Booth Manager Minimum attendees-two Girls and two adults. One adult must be a female. One adult must be a registered Girl Scout and have a current background check. (same as individual booths see separate detailed guidelines)
How To Request An Individual Booth Step 1: Ask troop product program manager for your service unit booth manager contact information Step 2: Reach out to her to lock in a time and place that you would like (these are locations that the booth manager has secured for the area) Step 3: Booth location that you acquire must be submitted to the troop to put into eBudde under the booth site on the dashboard (All booth request must go in to eBudde or it is not an approved booth) Step 4: If your Service Unit Program Booth Manager does not add to eBudde please contact your Area Program Manager for help. Your troop leader will have this information. If they are unable to provide you the information please call 540-777-5100 or email info@gsvsc.org and ask for the information Step 5: All booths must have two adults and one must be registered and background check and a female adult must be present at all times. If you had access in eBudde for 2019-2020-2021, you will not get a welcome email for 2021-2022. You will have access automatically, you will use the same email in the past, and it will prompt you to change password. If you are new to eBudde you will receive a welcome email once you have completed all requirements. Refer to 2020 years manual and 2021 Addendum for all of eBudde screen shots and directions. You can also locate this manual on our GSVSC website under the cookie tab Changes for 2022 TGOC- New Process on how to handle in eBudde Troop will need to provide the name of the girl and how many that they moved from GOC to TGOC to their Service Unit Cookie Manager by April 5, 2022. New Communication Feature: Troops, Service Unit, and Council will now be able to send communication from eBudde to the parents (Council will mainly use this to inform you on updates and promos) Please check your spam folder on occasion for emails from eBudde eBudde
Digital Cookie Updates Girl/Parent will have the ability to select rewards in Digital Cookie. There is a report in Digital Cookie for troop leader to pull to see what the girl chose for her rewards. You will need to let your service unit facilitator know in advance that this is the option you have chosen) If your payment is over $1,000.00 you will need to contact your bank and have your limit raised for the day before you call council to make payment.
