Cabins are assigned with session, gender, age, sensory needs, and routine in mind. Staff live in the cabins with individuals to provide the highest level of care. Campers will work with a team of staff members to ensure each individual's unique needs are fulfilled. Staff SUPPORTING CAMPERS FOR A SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCE will get up during the night to attend to homesickness, illness, bathroom reminders, and personal care assistance, but True Friends Camps do not provide 24-hour awake staff. True Friends partners with families and caregivers to make each individual’s experience successful. In order for us to do this we need caregivers and families to provide extensive information about each individual. True Friends acknowledges not all individuals are appropriate for the “camp-type” HEALTH CARE setting in which the program is provided. The care of our participants is our number one priority. Each of our camps have a team of Camp Nursing Assistants.
