                LCC 2021 GAP TEAM MATCHES

The 2021 GAP Team Match season is almost here! Lehigh CC will once
again enter 3 teams into the competition. This will enable more members to
play in this great tradition of competition within the region. The structure
and format of this competition are the envy of golf associations throughout
                  the United States.
This year the matches will be played on April 18th, 25th and May 2nd
(There is a possibility of the first team to have a challenge match on May 8th).
There are 12 players per team. Six players will play for each team at home
and six will play away. The teams will be selected based on handicaps,
previous participation, availability, and willingness to travel. In the 2019
matches Team 1 played 0-6 handicaps, Team 2 played 6-10’s and Team 3
                  played 10-19’s.
Team 1 will be in Division B, Team 2 in Division D and Team 3 Division E.
Based on team performances in the three competitive matches, teams have
the ability to move up or down a division the following year.
Al DiCarlo, will be the new captain of Team 1 this year. Dave Kearney, will
once again captain Team 2. Dr. Navid Hadian will captain Team 3
There will be a “GAP Kickoff” get together on Thursday, March 25th where
Chef Randy will prepare a GAP style food offering. Details to follow - look
for Ivan’s email. The night is open to all.
The team captains will be reaching out to players for commitments in the
coming weeks. If you are interested in playing please reach out to one of the
                  captains.

MESSAGE FROM ARI DATTA

Dear LCC Members,
We have been continuing with platform tennis at the Club. The men’s and
women’s Philly league have resumed as of the beginning of February. The
Monday night league has been running well with a lot of new players playing
this season.
We will be transitioning into tennis in April if the weather cooperates. Please Ari Datta
stay tuned for information. Racquets Director

                            A LETTER FROM THE GM

                            February 15, 2021

                            Dear LCC Members:
As I write this letter on a quiet Saturday afternoon, the grounds of the Club
look beautiful and snow covered. I see a few people passing my window
Jennifer Felegy, CCM while heading out to snow shoe or cross country ski. This is a great winter
        General Manager
activity that I encourage anyone who is interested in to take advantage of
       610.433.7443 x228
jen@lehighcc.com our beautiful course and surroundings.
The Club’s annual shutdown was successful. Paint was touched up, floors
were buffed and all furniture was deep cleaned. We are happy and excited
                            to welcome back the membership.
We have been planning our 2021 social calendar and you can expect
some old favorites and some great new events. The golf calendar has been
finalized and is available on the Club website. We have also updated our
communications procedures as far as email marketing. We will be sending
an email every Tuesday and every Friday highlighting the lunch and
dinner features as well as any upcoming events. We will also be emailing
the Sunday brunch features including bottomless mimosas. If you are not
receiving our emails, please email amanda@lehighcc.com and let us know!
If you have a friend or associate that you think may be interested in joining
LCC, please reach out to myself or Matt so we may set them up with a tour and
information. Now is the time to begin the process to be able to fully utilize the
Club this Spring. You can email Matt at membership@lehighcc.com.
As always, if I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Hope to see you around the Club soon!
                            Sincerely,

A LETTER FROM THE MEN'S LOCKER ROOM

The Men’s Locker Room will have familiar faces this year. Cooper Gregory, the full time
attendant, Chase Hutterer, Hunter Kern, and Bill Pastelyak, all part time year round attendants
plan on working the 2021 golf season.
Currently, Cooper, Bill and I are here daily 8am-7pm. The Men’s Lounge will always stay open
later if we have the business. A heads up call is appreciated if you think you would like to enjoy
that room later than 7pm for staffing purposes, but certainly not necessary. My staff does leave by
7pm if there is no business. The kitchen does open daily at 11:30am (10 am for breakfast in the
Men’s Lounge Saturday and Sunday) and closes Tuesday-Thursday at 9pm, Friday and Saturday Ivan Fenstermacher
                                                                                                               Men's Locker Room
at 10pm and 8pm on Sundays this month. Orders are asked to be to the kitchen at least 15
                                                                                                                  610.435.5311
minutes prior to close. Keep in mind that the Men’s Lounge is a great place to entertain business
                                                                                                          menslockerroom@lehighcc.com
associates or that special client for a quite lunch or dinner.
As I write this letter, tonight is the first of 6 reserved Men’s Stag Steak Nights. If you missed
that email - seafood tower, tomato and onion salad, prime bone-in ribeye, WOW! You pick the
night and gather up a gang of guys. Brad can assist in picking out the perfect red wine to go with
that awesome meal. We usually start around 6pm with the seafood tower and the main course
about 45 minutes later. Yes, that time schedule can be altered. Please call the receptionist to
book your Steak Night today. Yes, we can do less; yes, we can do more. Please remember we still
need to stay within the current COVID guidelines and most definitely, people are feeling more
comfortable in smaller groups. This is a Steak Night you’ll remember for a long time!
Those of you interested in the GAP Team Matches that take place each spring; we may try
to do another GAP Team Rally night. I’ll keep you posted if that event will take place. The
GAP team matches are on the 2021 golf calendar for April 18, 25 and May 2 with the playoff
 challenges May 8.
Shoes… I know you have not been wearing your dress shoes much, but I’m hopeful that you
will again soon. As places of business, worship and entertainment begin to open, you’re going
to have to take off those sneakers (which we can clean too!) and put your dress shoes back on
your feet. If you would like your shoes to look their best, feel great, and last a little longer, drop
them off in the Men’s Locker Room and we will clean, condition and polish your shoes, boots,
briefcases and handbags, so you’re ready to start meeting face to face again with your clients,
co-workers, associates, friends, whomever. Leather goods should be conditioned at least a few
times a year to keep the leather from drying out. We’ve been using Venetian
Shoe Cream for conditioning dress shoes a few years now and are very happy
with the results. Lexol leather conditioner is the go to for your golf shoes, which
we can prepare for the upcoming season as well. Speaking of golf shoes, part of
the annual shutdown, all the lockers are wiped down with a disinfecting cleaner,
paper liners replaced, trash thrown away, and shoe cubbies cleaned out. Some
of you left a bit of the course on the soles of your shoes before they went into
hibernation for the winter. I hope you don’t mind that we took that excess of dirt
and sand and we’re going to give it back to John Chassard to replace in
 the bunkers!
I look forward to a great 2021 golf season and if I can be of any assistance, please ask.
 Thank you,

 Ivan Fenstermacher

Mission Statement
The mission of Lehigh Country Club is to be the
private country club of choice in the Lehigh Valley.
This will be achieved by providing quality facilities and
services and by making Lehigh Country Club every
member’s preferred establishment for dining, social,
and recreational activities.

We will provide an outstanding golf course in terms of
appearance, condition, and fairness to all levels of play,
in addition to an excellent tennis, paddle tennis, swim,
and clubhouse facilities, with well manicured grounds
surrounding the club complex. Employees will treat
every member, family member, and guest with courtesy
and respect, in a warm and welcome atmosphere.

In order to ensure the excellent experience for the
members, the Club will carefully select compatible new
members and appropriately limit the total membership.

The Board of Governors and management will be both
responsive to the membership, as well as responsible,
with the purpose of perpetuating the Club by constantly
maintaining the facilities and operating the Club in a
sound financial manner to protect and enhance the value
of the member’s equity, thereby assuring the continuity of
Lehigh Country Club’s long tradition of excellence.
