First held in 1823, the Sydney Royal Easter Show is Australia’s largest annual ticketed event, attracting over 850,000 attendees on average. Revenue generated by it allows the RAS to invest in agricultural programs, Strategic Sponsors competitions, education, youth and rural NSW. In all, the RAS invests almost $9 million annually in these activities which are designed to promote agricultural excellence and keep our rural communities strong. Champion The Show is a celebration of Australian culture, from our rural traditions to our modern lifestyles, providing unique experiences for everyone. Every Easter, the country and city join together at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, for 12 days of agricultural competitions, animal experiences, live entertainment, carnival fun, shopping and much more. INTRODUCTION The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is here for the greater good of the agricultural industry, the people and the community that it operates within. We are here for the next generation, introducing agriculture to children and families at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, and also encouraging young 1 people to choose and develop careers in the agricultural industry. We celebrate Australian culture, from our rural traditions to our modern- day lifestyles, providing unique experiences for people of all ages and backgrounds. The Show is an iconic event that attracts hundreds of thousands of people each year and has been recognised for its significant economic and social contribution to New South Wales. After a challenging year we look forward to bringing you a safe event that once again celebrates our heritage. The RAS is working closely with NSW Health to ensure the 2021 Show is compliant with all COVIDSafe requirements as directed. SHOW DATES 1-12 APRIL 2021 OPENING TIMES Show and Pavilions open 9.00am.
