PRESS CONFERENCE There will be a press conference featuring several top X Games athletes on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 3:30 p.m. MT in the Studio X Dome in X Fest at Buttermilk Mountain. The event will include time for one-on-one interviews with most athletes, as well as X Games executives. A media advisory with all details will be distributed the week of the event. All post-competition press conferences will be held on course following the event. CLIMATE & HEALTH Weather, terrain and altitude make covering X Games a unique experience as compared to other sporting events. Be advised, media members should take the proper precautions to ensure their safety and enjoyment during the event. Temperature Variability The weather in Aspen can vary greatly, with temperatures often dipping to single digits at night. Therefore, all persons in attendance are best served to dress accordingly and wear multiple clothing layers including thermals, fleece, jacket, as well as wool socks, gloves and some type of head covering. Footwear Often overlooked, footwear plays an integral role in not only a person’s maneuverability, but warmth and comfort as well. Individuals spending long periods of time on their feet should consider bringing additional footwear to change into to prevent fatigue. Also, when socks become soiled they tend to flatten out and don’t insulate as well, so it may be a good idea to carry an extra pair at all times. Altitude The base elevation at Aspen Snowmass is approximately 8,000 feet above sea level. As a result, there is less oxygen and humidity available than at lower elevations, which may end up causing one or more of the following conditions: nausea, insomnia, diarrhea, constipation, gas, restlessness, shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, headache, nasal congestion, cough and/or fatigue. Minor conditions typically dissipate after becoming acclimated to the environment. To minimize high altitude effects, take the following precautions: 1. Minimize physical exertion until acclimated 2. Utilize humidifiers 3. Stay hydrated, don’t overeat – start drinking more water than you are used to a week before arriving 4. Get plenty of sleep 5. Listen to your body Sunscreen Despite the fact that Aspen Snowmass may be covered in snow, the high altitude also means increased exposure to the sun. At high altitude there are higher concentrations of ultraviolet rays. Wear sunscreen and reapply often. UV-protected sunglasses and/or goggles are also recommended. 6

The track earned them instant status amongst hip-hop royalty with remixes from Nicki Minaj and Pusha-T, along with co-signs from the likes of Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, Juicy J and more. This rise to fame earned them pivotal performances at the 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards and The Tonight Show, furthering their takeover of the highest ranks of urban and mainstream music alike. It was with level heads and widespread industry support that the duo released their first album SremmLife in 2015, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hip-Hop chart, followed by the six week, Billboard chart-topping, No. 1 single, “Black Beatles,” the six-time platinum record that catapulted the duo into global superstardom. ILLENIUM Diverse musical programming continues with melodic bass producer ILLENIUM. Leading the live electronic music renaissance with adeptness for creating aural arrangements that vary in style, complexity, and emotional depth, ILLENIUM has developed a new sphere in which sound design can be crafted and experienced. One of the biggest recent breakout artists, Bazzi catapulted into mega-status with his massive No. 1 hit, “Mine,” now certified three-times platinum. TALENT BIOS HOST Jack Mitrani (@JackMitrani) Jack Mitrani is one of snowboarding’s most popular personalities. After spending 12 years as a competitive snowboarder, he translated his talents into a career that celebrates his entrepreneurial and vivacious spirit. Mitrani returns for this fourth year as host of the X Games. Early in Mitrani’s career, he got his start by producing gut-busting comedic skits, and has since refined professional action sports footage that broadcast greats such as ESPN, HBO and NBC have chased down through the years. In 2008, Mitrani and friends Danny Davis, Dave Driscoll and Keir Dillon started the Frends Crew, all centering around the concept that “there’s no I in frends.” Initially, the crew consisted of seven pro-snowboarders who traveled the world, making funny videos and skits, while winning major snowboarding contests, and promoting that collaboration was more fun than doing it solo. Today he is best known as a television host — most notably serving as the host of X Games — Frendly Gathering cofounder, content creator and Martin Guitar Ambassador. Born and raised in Long Island, Mitrani’s family moved to Vermont after he and brother/pro snowboarder Luke convinced their parents to allow them to attend Stratton Mountain School, where snowboarding was a part of the curriculum. Mitrani currently resides in Burlington, Vt. with his fiancé, Hannah. They recently welcomed a new addition to their family, Willa Rose Mitrani. He has starred in his own unscripted television show on MTV Canada with his brother, McMorris & McMorris, and got his broadcast break for CBC during the Sochi Winter Olympic Games, where he announced the Snowboard Slopestyle and Halfpipe events.
