TAILGATING POLICIES TAILGATING POLICIES • Parking/Tailgating may not start more than 3 hours prior to kick off. Tailgates must be shut down 15 minutes prior to the start of the athletic event, and no post game tailgates are permitted. • Parking spaces are limited and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Double parking is not permitted, and traffic aisles should be clear at all times. • Overnight parking for tailgating purposes is not permitted. Vehicles may be parked on campus in anticipation of tailgating festivities beginning at 5:00 AM the morning of the event, and must exit the campus that same day. • RVs/Oversized vehicles must be proactively communicated to and communicated with the Department of Transportation and Parking. • Alcoholic beverages are permitted at your tailgating site with the exception of beer kegs. ACTIONS PROHIBITED IN TAILGATING AREAS • Amplified music/sounds • Beer kegs and items that promote the rapid consumption of alcohol are prohibited at any university athletic event or function. No individual or group may transport a keg to a University athletic event. Drinking games and the use of devices intended to accelerate the consumption of alcohol are prohibited. • Behavior that interferes with another guests’ enjoyment of the event, including threatening, physical, and/or verbal altercations • The consumption of alcohol for persons less than 21 years of age is prohibited. University regulations and state statutes on alcohol consumption will be strictly enforced. Any liability associated with underage drinking rests solely on the tailgate/event sponsor • Any participant who consumes alcoholic beverages at such events must be able to produce a valid ID that indicates the person’s age upon request • Sale of alcoholic beverages in tailgating areas • Dumping of ash, grease, and other waste products in area other than designated bins • Having open flames that are not directly associated with grilling • Parking in areas that are not designated for parking/tailgating • Littering or leaving tailgating site in disorderly fashion ITEMS PROHIBITED IN TAILGATING AREAS • Beer kegs • Food trucks • Drugs of any sort • Weapons/Contraband • Fireworks/Incendiary devices • Animals, with the exception of service animals for persons with disabilities CHARCOAL GRILLS/FIRES • Charcoal grills must be elevated and only use self-lighting charcoal • Only propane tanks under 20 pounds are permitted • Ash from grills must be disposed of properly in designated Hot Ash cans TRASH • Tailgating party is solely responsible for bagging up all trash from tailgating site and leaving it in an organized pile for pick up
NEED TO KNOW: PARKING & TAILGATING PARKING: The Department of Transportation and Parking Services manages all parking with the assistance of Towne Park Lots 4, 5, and 25 at the North end of the Football Stadium is for reserved parking until the start of the game o Media, TV, officials, VIP, handicap, and Athletic staff from Princeton and visiting teams There is a $10 fee (cash only) for parking in Lots 21, Fitzrandolph Field, North Parking garage and Broadmead Field Lot 21 parking passes allow for parking in Lot 21 o Season four pack ticket holders and select athletic coaches and staff that need access on game day o If the lot is full they will be directed to the nearest area free of charge Free parking is available on the west side of campus Grounds place out hot ash cans and trash bins in Lot 21 TAILGATING: Tailgate Manager Abby Ferguson o Reserves all tailgates and coordinates the equipment needs for reserved tailgates o Ensures that all parties acknowledge (sign off) on reserved tailgating rules and regulations o Student Tailgates Game day tailgate supervisor John Barbour Jr. o Sets up, oversees and breaks down all reserved tailgates Public Safety o Enforces all parking and tailgating policies
PRINCETON STADIUM VENUE POLICIES BAG SEARCH All bags are subject to search upon entry and within Princeton Stadium. All prohibited items must be left at home, returned to your vehicle or disposed of before entering the stadium. This policy is in effect for everyone who visits Princeton athletic events. BANNERS & SIGNS Signs must be hand held, event related, and in good taste. Signs may not obstruct another guest’s view. Princeton Event Management reserves the right to confiscate signs that are in violation of venue policies. EMERGENCIES Dial 911 using a campus or blue light phone or 609-258-3333 using a cell phone. Campus blue light phones are located in the NW, NE, SW, and SE plazas. In the event of a serious stadium emergency, pertinent information will be provided in regards to the emergency and evacuation procedures over the public address system. For non-emergencies, call Public Safety by dialing 609-258-1000. PLAYING SURFACE RULES Princeton University and NCAA regulations prohibit spectators from being on the field before, during, and immediately after the game. Please utilize regular exits for departure from the stadium. RE-ENTRY During ticketed events, guests will be allowed to re-enter upon receiving a stamp when exiting the stadium area. Individuals who would like to exit and return should be directed to the main gate. Princeton Event Management reserves the right to prohibit re-entry to spectators at athletic events. PROHIBITED ITEMS AND BEHAVIOR For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, the Princeton Department of Athletics prohibits the following: • Alcohol • Animals (except service animals to aid guests with disabilities) • Any disruption to the progress of the event by guest’s actions • Artificial noise makers (air horns, whistles, clappers, vuvuzelas, etc.) • Bicycles, skateboards scooters, and roller blades • Bottles, cans or beverage containers of any kind are not allowed into the stadium during ticketed events • Coolers • Displays of affection not appropriate in a public setting • Fighting, taunting, or threatening remarks or gestures • Fireworks, firearms and weapons • Glass containers • Obscene or indecent clothing • Outside food of any kind is not allowed into the stadium during ticketed events • Profanity, vulgarity, racist or sexist comments • Laser pointers • Resale of tickets • Smoking and tobacco use • Taunting • Throwing objects • Trespassing, soliciting, peddling, or loitering *Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements and/or special needs

A chance to run on the field and meet the players THINGS TO KNOW: • Pre-game football coaches will bring large groups of recruits with their parents onto the field. The recruits will have credentials, the parents will not. They will be escorted off the field prior to kick off. • Ticket sales stop at the end of the 3rd quarter and anyone can enter the stadium at this time • Only varsity athletes may use the Track during a football game • Enforce all Stadium Policies • Keep aisles clear • Do not allow fans to sit on the wall surrounding the field • When you see a fan with a dog kindly inform them that dogs are not permitted in the stadium. If they inform you that the dog is a service dog, thank them and allow the dog • The only golf carts permitted in the stadium once the doors open is for dining services. For the safety of the fans address any drivers that are driving too fast
CREDENTIALS & TICKETS Item: Description: 1 Printed Tickets at Home: May be scanned 1 in either at the main entrance to the stadium or at the SE entry 2 Officials Credential: All officials, including those that will be up in the Press Box, will have one of these. The specific game that 2 they are working will be printed on the credential itself. 3 Season Tickets: May be scanned in either at 3 the main entrance to the stadium, or at the SE entry 4 Physical Ticket (White): Single game tickets purchased and/or picked up at the stadium 4 5 Student ID: Students must show their valid ID (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, G) in order to enter the Student Gate. Please click each student in as they go into the game. 5 6 Athletics Credential: Athletic Department staff wear these credentials and have access 6 throughout the facility on game day 7 7 Kids Club Lanyard: Must also have a ticket to enter (pick up at booths 2-4)
CREDENTIAL POLICIES RESTRICTIONS: 1. The credential is non-transferable and may only be used for sideline access only by the individual to whom it has been issued on the date listed on the front of the credential. 2. Credential holders under the age of 18 are not permitted on the field during the game. Pre and post game, all ages are permitted on the field with a credential. 3. Per NCAA rules, prospect age individuals (those who are in high school) and parents of prospects are not permitted on the sideline during the game. 4. Per NCAA rules, parents of current student-athletes are not permitted on the sideline during the game. 5. Credential holder may only stand OUTSIDE of the 25 yard line markers (i.e. not in bench area). 6. Credential holders may never enter the team bench area and must walk behind the team bench to change from one end of the field to the other. 7. Credential holders may never comment to game officials, coaches, or student-athletes during the game. 8. The Princeton University Department of Athletics reserves the right to revoke this credential at any time for any reason. 9. Persons on the sidelines are subject to injury when players, officials, or the ball enter the restricted sideline area. Conversely, the may be responsible for injury to players and game officials in similar circumstances. By accepting this credential, the bearer assumes all risk associated with their presence on the sideline and agrees to hold harmless Princeton University and its agents for any injuries they may suffer as a result of their choice to stand in any area on or near the playing surface.
TICKET SCANNERS 1. Hold down the power button (red button, bottom left corner) until the scanner resets. Hold for approximately ten seconds 2. This should bring up the screen that says, “No Host Connection” and “Enter to Connect” 3. Click the (bottom right corner, above the orange button) 4. A screen will pop up where you will see “Yes” and “No” 5. Select “Yes” 6. Click in the box with the pen to enter the username 7. Username: athscan# - the specific number is on the right side panel of the scanner 1. To enter numbers, select the orange button (bottom right corner) before selecting each number 8. Click in the box with the pen to enter the password 9. Password: Ath*Scan#! 1. To enter capital letters, select (bottom left corner, above the blue button) 2. To enter the *, select the orange button (bottom right corner) and then select the letter “Q” 3. To enter the !, select the orange button (bottom right corner) and then select the letter “N” 10. Select “Login” 11. Select “Performances” 12. Select which performance by checking off the box (event) 13. Select “OK” 14. Select “Scan” 15. Test Ticket 1. If you have the scanner holster (gun), the trigger is how you scan the ticket 2. If you do not have a scanner holster (gun), use the big yellow button on the front or the orange button on the right side panel Notes: • Always try to reset the scanner if any issues come up • Some people click the light bulb (bottom, to the right of the space button). This makes the screen completely black. Simply click the light bulb button again and the color will come back. • If you ever get to a screen where you are trying to exit and it asks you for the password to exit, the password is “exit” • Volume button is on the left side panel of the scanner. It is not the orange button on the left side of the panel, but the two buttons below that. Some of the scanners’ volume does not work so it may not work. • If you continue to have issues, take the battery out of the scanner (located in the back panel), and put it back and turn it back on.
THE FIFTH QUARTER Overview: What: Upon the conclusion of the game, there will be an additional 15 minute “5th Quarter” in which fans are invited on to the field to mingle with the players and toss a football. Fans are to enter only at the following locations: Sections 3-4 and Sections 29-30. In-Between: There will be a 2-5 minute delay in between the conclusion of the game and the beginning of the 5th Quarter to allow for officials, teams, and equipment to be cleared off of the field. Public Safety is to hold the crowd from entry onto the field until the 5th Quarter has officially begun with the time starting on the clock (counting down 15 minutes). Duration: During the 5th Quarter, officers will be placed strategically around the field, scanning the crowd and assisting those in need. Conclusion: With 2 minutes remaining selected Public Safety Officers will line up at the North end zone. The sweep to clear the field will begin when the clock reaches 0. Fans should exit the field the same way that they entered – through Sections 3-4 and Sections 29-30. Players should be informed to go to the locker room. Parents are to be directed to meet the players at the SW concourse. OIC: will dismiss staff once field has been cleared. Those Staying in Position for 5th Quarter: Officials T1, T3, T4, T8 Ticket Takers at NE, NW, F1 SE, SW F6 Visiting Tunnel M6, M1 SE, SW Stairs M9 Caldwell Gate M3 Elevator M5 Visiting Tunnel Vehicle Entry U1-U7 Ushers T3 Team Tickets Areas for Supervisors to Deploy Staff during the 5th Quarter: Position : Description: Replaces F1 to control access preventing fans from entering the tunnel. Athletic Home Tunnel administrators will assist at this position during the 5th Quarter SE Field Section 29-30 – hold fans at ramp until the clock starts for the 5th Quarter Ramp SW Field Section 3-4 – hold fans at ramp until the clock starts for the 5th Quarter Ramp South Stands Only TV crew breaking down permitted in this area Staff strategically placed along the perimeter of the field. With 2 minutes remaining in the 5th Remaining Quarter report to the North end of the stadium to conduct a sweep and politely escort all fans Staff and players off of the field
