DRAFT NIGHT RULES The purpose of this evening is to pick the Pro that you will share the ice with on Friday, May 10th at Terwillegar Rec. Community Centre. Your team’s draft ranking will correspond to your team’s online fundraising total at the time of the draft. 1. YOUR IMPACT IN 2018 Net proceeds from the Edmonton Tournament will be divided equally between The Mustard Seed and the Jasper Place Wellness Centre to support their important work to help homeless men, women, and children in Edmonton. THE MUSTARD SEED The Mustard Seed is a charitable organization that builds community, grows hope and supports change for people experiencing poverty and homelessness. At the Mustard Seed they care for those in need by walking alongside them on their journey towards a life of wellness, dignity and independence. From last year’s proceeds, The Mustard Seed is able to continue to offer participants with daytime programming, lunch, as well as warm, nutritious meals. They also offer employment services and provides a Housing First Model that connect community participants with safe, affordable housing and community supports. ”With your generous donation of $87,500 in 2018, we were able to provide food, shelter, housing and employment supports to those in need. Thank you Hockey Helps the Homeless!” JASPER PLACE WELLNESS CENTRE The Jasper Place Wellness Centre is a community development organization that has been working in West Edmonton since 2006. The JPWC has 5 focuses in the community, Health Care, Employment, Food Security, Education and Housing. Being a forward-thinking organization, the JPWC was the first agency in Edmonton to use the housing first model. Last year the money raised from HHTH was put towards the development of a 36-unit Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) development in West Edmonton for individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness. “Thank you HHTH, your donation of $87,500 in 2018 enabled us to continue to build Permanent Supportive Housing in Edmonton and create homes for individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness. The robust hockey community in Edmonton is like no other and we are so thankful for their support year after year!“
