1st – 5th      Family Safety Week

               Accidents are the biggest killer of children and young people. Family
               Safety Week focuses on protecting some of the most vulnerable
               members of our community — babies, toddlers and children under
               five.
1st – 7th      Diabetes Prevention Week

               The NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NHS DPP) is holding the
               second Diabetes Prevention Week. Diabetes UK has teamed up with
               them to raise awareness of their Healthier You programme. This is a
               free service run by the NHS to help reduce the risk of developing Type
               2 diabetes.
5th            National Walk to Work Day
               Walking can help to clear the mind, burn calories and get your heart
               pumping. And doing this before work could encourage and influence
               you to eat healthier throughout the day.
26th           On Your Feet Britain

               Take part in our national day when workers across Britain unite
               together and participate in a variety of fun and simple activities to
               #SitLess and #MoveMore at work

1st-31st       National Walking Month

               May is National Walking Month and Living Streets, the national charity
               that works to create safe, attractive and enjoyable streets, will be
               encouraging people to walk with their successful annual initiatives - to
               encourage everyone to get more walking into their day.
6th – 12th     Sun Awareness Week

               Sun Awareness is the British Association of Dermatologists' annual
               campaign to raise awareness of skin cancer.

               weaning as easy as possible.
13th May –     National Smile Month

              Walk to School Week is a celebration where pupils and grown-ups
              around the UK unite for one week of walking to school. Walking can
              benefit the whole community as well as improve an individual
              wellbeing.

3rd – 9th     Child Safety Week

              prevented. The theme is Family life today: where’s the risk? It
              highlights the new dangers facing families today from our modern

              Bike Week, delivered by Cycling UK, is an annual celebration to
              showcase cycling. Riding a bike can easily be a part of everyday life
              and Bike Week is here to inspire people all over the UK to give cycling

              BNF Healthy Eating Week is a dedicated week in the year to
              encourage organisations across the UK (including workplaces,
