2018-2019 Ted Rogers School of Management Graduate Entrance Awards Full-time The Ted Rogers School of Management Graduate Entrance Awards are available to MScM applicants who have applied to full-time graduate studies at the Ted Rogers School of Management for the Fall of 2018. The criteria for the awards are based on demonstrated excellent academic achievement, extracurricular involvement in the community, work experience and unmet need. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, landed immigrants or protected persons who have been issued a Protected Persons Status Document (PPSD). HIGHLIGHTS • $15,000 each WHO CAN APPLY? Graduate Student Budget Office of Student Financial Assistance This budget captures an individual student’s educational expenses. Tuition fees are for Ryerson Graduate programs taken over a 16 month academic program. Please complete all sections and check the appropriate boxes. Leave the amount field blank if there is nothing to report. The expense ranges in this budget may be higher or lower than actual expenses. Report actual expenses if lower than the range in the budget. Ryerson bursary funds supplement but do not replace the funds a student is expected to contribute to their educational costs. School of Graduate Studies TERMS AND CONDITIONS - SCHOLARSHIP/FELLOWSHIPS/AWARDS GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS A. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS To accept the offer of a Ryerson scholarship, fellowship or award, you must agree to these terms and conditions by signing and returning one copy to your Program Administrator in the Yeates School of Graduate Studies (YSGS). If you are an incoming student, you must also accept your Offer of Admission by the confirmation deadline, or the funding offer will be withdrawn. Registration: To be eligible for these funds you must maintain full-time enrolment and attendance in your program at Ryerson and be actively engaged in full-time academic pursuits in your current program. An offer of Ryerson funding is not transferable to another program. Withdrawal during a term in which a graduate student has received a Ryerson scholarship, fellowship or award will require repayment of this funding in an amount calculated based on the Ryerson University tuition refund policy. i.e. full repayment if withdrawal occurs before the final date to withdraw and be eligible for full refund of fees; 50% repayment if withdrawal occurs before the final date to withdraw and be eligible for 50% refund of fees; and no repayment required if withdrawal is after that date. Scholarship/Fellowship/Award Renewal: An internal scholarship, fellowship or award is tenable for the term set out in the award letter, usually two terms or three terms; they are not renewable. Eligible students will automatically be considered for scholarships, fellowships and awards in subsequent years. Employment: You may also accept research or graduate teaching assistantships, or other employment up to an average of 10 hours per week or 130 hours per term or 390 hours per academic year. B. ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS Ryerson Graduate Scholarship (RGS), Ryerson Graduate Fellowship (RGF), Ontario Graduate Fellowship (OGF), Incoming students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.67/4.33 (or equivalent) in the last two years of study prior to the commencement of the scholarship. Returning students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.67/4.33. If you accept/have accepted an external scholarship, sponsorship or any other funding equal to the amount of your RGS, RGF or OGF, you must forfeit/decline the RGS, RGF or OGF. Students with external scholarships, sponsorships or other funding may be considered for Ryerson Graduate Awards (RGA) through their program in addition to the external scholarship. Ryerson Graduate Award (RGA) & Access To Opportunity Program Awards (ATOP) The RGAs and ATOPs are awarded by your Program, and are not renewable though eligible students may be considered for these in subsequent years. See Section C: ADDITIONAL COMMENTS for any additional terms and conditions set by your Program. Rogers Fellowship If you hold a $20,000 Rogers Fellowship and are awarded an external scholarship, award or sponsorship that is administered by Ryerson and that is greater than $5,000, you must accept the external scholarship in place of your Rogers Fellowship. You will then receive a new Rogers Fellowship or Ryerson Graduate Award which will bring the total value to a minimum of $20,000. A Roger’s Fellowship is not renewable. Eligible students will be automatically considered for Rogers Fellowships in subsequent years. Ryerson International Student Scholarship (RISS) You must notify your program IMMEDIATELY if your immigration status changes, as you will no longer be eligible for the RISS in a term in which you are charged Domestic fees. If you accept/have accepted an external scholarship, sponsorship or any other funding equal to or greater than the amount of your RISS, you must forfeit/decline the RISS. A RISS is not renewable though eligible students will automatically be considered for a RISS in subsequent years.

DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS: Your scholarship will be paid to you at the beginning of each term in equal instalments. It is a Ryerson policy that scholarship funds must flow through your student account. This process ensures that a T4A for income tax purposes is automatically generated. The instalments will be deposited to your student fees account and credited towards any outstanding balances. If there are funds remaining, a refund cheque will be sent to the mailing address on Ryerson’s Administrative Management Self Service (RAMSS). Keep your mailing address current. If your cheque goes to an out- dated address, it may take up to two months to re-issue a missing cheque. Your payments will begin in the term that your scholarship was approved to begin. Your instalments will be applied to your student account in the first month of each term (September, January, May), after your term enrolment has been confirmed. At any time, you can check RAMSS to see when an instalment has been transferred into your fees account and when a refund cheque has been issued to you. If you see that a cheque has been issued to you, and a reasonable amount of time has been allowed for the delivery of mail (approximately two weeks), but you have not received the cheque, you should contact the Student Fees Office. You will NOT be charged late fees during these months (September, January, May) if there is no outstanding balance by the end of the month. It is your responsibility to calculate and pay any charges not covered by an award. By signing this form, I confirm that I have read, understood, and will abide by the Terms and Conditions above, and any other Terms and Conditions that are associated with my award.
