Greetings from the President At the Unveiling of the Donors Plaque This year the Thomas More Institute is celebrating its 70th Anniversary of providing university-level study opportunities to a broad and diverse community of lifelong learners. In this prospectus, you will discover a rich and varied program of offerings to stimulate and delight the inquisitive and curious mind. As has been the Thomas More tradition, learners can participate simply for the joy and pleasure of learning or for credit towards a Bachelor of Arts degree. Walter Duszara The Thomas More Institute offers a unique learning environ- ment that engages learners in discourse and dialogue through readings of carefully chosen texts under the guidance of Left to right: Renovation architect Samantha Hayes, General experienced and dedicated leaders. Learners of all ages are contractor Richard Dufour, and former TMI President Ron Domachevsky welcome. You can come to the Institute and enjoy its newly renovated and handicap accessible premises as well as its modern facilities and technical resources. Or the Institute can come to you through its community outreach program. On June 17 of this year, the Thomas More Institute unveiled a plaque in recognition of the contributions of its many donors towards the renovation of its premises. The Institute’s Board of Directors took advantage of that occasion, as well, to intro- duce me as its new President and welcome me to the Thomas Left to right: Chair More community. I take this opportunity to thank the Board Andrew Byers unveiling for their expression of confidence and look forward to working the plaque with the Thomas More community, as well as with local cul- tural and educational institutions and community groups, to chart a future course for the Institute that responds to actual and emerging needs and contributes to individual growth and to community vitality. Walter Duszara President Left to right: Vice-chair Anthony Joseph, former TMI President, Sandy Highet and his wife Françoise, Len Richman, Jonathan Powers, Daniel Schouela, and Andrew Byers 4 > www.thomasmore.qc.ca www.thomasmore.qc.ca < 5
