About Global Money Week Global Money Week (GMW), a CYFI initiative, is an annual money awareness campaign built to inspire children and young people to learn about money matters and entrepreneurship. What is the goal? We want young people to learn to manage their money wisely. By empowering children and youth, they will become the catalysts for the spread of financial and entrepreneurial education and engagement that will ultimately help their families and entire communities. GMW Supporters & Endorsements H.M. Queen Máxima of the Netherlands Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, honorary chair of the Money Wise Platform, joined a special Global Money Week celebration held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on 30 March. As the UN Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development and honorary patron of the G20’s Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion, Queen Máxima is a leading global voice advancing universal access to affordable, effective and safe financial services to strengthen human development, especially among the poor. In the Netherlands she supports financial inclusion particularly in the areas of financial literacy and financial education. During the event, Queen Máxima was presented with the pioneering document “Safer Payment Products for Minors – guiding minors towards financial autonomy,” co-authored by CYFI and Mastercard in collaboration with partners. The German Presidency of G20 The launch event for GMW 2017 was held at the Bundesbank in Frankfurt, Germany in collaboration with the German Presidency of the G20. The event included an interactive panel discussion, where school students could ask panel guests questions and gain insights in to the world of money. | Learn more at ‘About’ section on www.globalmoneyweek.org
GMW Supporters & Endorsements UNCDF – Bank the Youth launch During GMW CYFI and UNCDF launched the #BankTheYouth campaign to increase access to responsible, accessible and affordable financial services for youth. As part of the campaign launch, events were held in Benin, Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, Senegal and Uganda throughout the Week! Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) & International Network for Financial Education (INFE) GMW is held in partnership with the OECD. The OECD/INFE has been a strong supporter of CYFI and encouraged its member and partner countries to join the GMW celebrations. World Savings and Retail Banking Institute (WSBI) Fourteen WSBI-ESBG members from 13 countries took part in GMW2017. WSBI-ESBG members Erste in Austria, Fransabank in Lebanon, NABARD in India and CECA in Spain are all "leading" organisations during the week. In Europe, Hungary member OTP joins Erste in the country to celebrate the week, along with Swedbank in Sweden, La Caixa in Spain and BCEE in Luxembourg. In the Americas, FEPCMAC in Péru and Dominican Republic member APAP are participating. In Africa Finance Trust Bank of Uganda is on board as is Caisse Nationale des Caisses d'Epargne in Côte d'Ivoire.

GMW Branding & Style Guidelines See ‘GMW Branding & Style Guidelines 2018’ In this guidebook, you will find applications for the logos, colors, typefaces and design templates that express GMW brand. It covers all materials produced for GMW, including ideas for GMW promotional materials. You will be able to find information and guidance on the use of the GMW logo. For GMW, maintaining a consistent, high quality and structured image means that we can build a stronger awareness of the Week amongst members of the public. GMW Selfie Challenge GMW time is always Selfie time! Our selfie competition is a great way to connect with other young people, individuals and organizations across the world in sharing their amazing money awareness activities and events. Join us for the 5th edition of the GMW Selfie Challenge to show us what you’re doing during the Week’s celebrations! GMW Money Box Challenge Piggy banks and money boxes have been around for thousands of years! The origins of the name ‘piggy bank’ dates back to the Middle Ages when Pygg, an orange colored clay, was used to make pots to store money. The name pygg evolved to be known as ‘Piggy Bank’, and the rest is history! GMW Video Challenge Submit a GMW video to show us what you are doing to celebrate GMW2018! Other CYFI Initiatives Ye! for Young Entrepreneurs www.yecommunity.com Ye! is an online platform for young entrepreneurs between 16 and 30 years old. Ye! connects young entrepreneurs around the world and provides them with business knowledge, an online community, a coaching program and links to funding opportunities to help them grow their ventures. Global Inlcusion Awards www.childfinanceinternational.org/initiatives/awards.html The Global Inclusion Awards recognize and honour those that achieve greatness and demonstrate innovation in financial, social and livelihoods education, financial inclusion, and entrepreneurial support for children and youth at the national, regional and international level. SchoolBank www.childfinanceinternational.org/initiatives/schoolbank.html SchoolBank aims to increase financial inclusion of children and young people through the school system. Through an innovative multi-stakeholder approach the goal is to create systems change by providing children and youth with a Child & Youth Friendly bank account that they can use to save money, while at the same time imparting the appropriate education to teach them why and how to save and what their economic rights are.
