Relax, kick back and find your Zen while discovering a new paradise on the Caribbean
Coast of Colombia, South America. Spend days exploring the jungles, rivers, waterfalls
and beaches of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta while enjoying daily Yoga, Pilates,
Dance, Meditation & Wellness sessions in our gorgeous ocean front Yoga Shala and
Beach Temple.

Immerse yourself in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, also known as “The Heart of the World”.
A magical place where rivers flow from the snowcapped peaks down into the Sea, and
where the indigenous cultures such as the Kogi, Wiwa and Arhuaco still continue to care
for, protect and sustainably manage the land. We are honored to live on this sacred land
and share it with others, while learning from their beliefs and traditions of how to live in
harmony with Mother Nature.

We can help you create and organize a custom
retreat for you and your group.

To host a retreat at Gitana del Mar you must
reserve the entire resort exclusively for your
group. We require a minimum reservation of 3
nights with a maximum of 7 nights.

Accommodation for groups of 10-29 people in 8
Eco-chic Bungalows with private bathrooms & 2
large, Luxury Glamping Tents with shared
bathrooms.

Large 15 meter pool under the palms for guests
to enjoy.

Restaurant serving 3 fresh, healthy meals a day
& daily tropical fruit juices. We offer Vegetarian,
Vegan, Gluten free & Dairy free menus upon
request.

Organization and planning of day trips and
tours to the Parque Tayrona and other local
hidden gems of the Sierra Nevada de Santa
Marta with professional, local guides.

Beach-front Yoga Shala & Ocean-Side Palm
Temple for classes, workshops, talks &

WHATS INCLUDED

Your retreat package includes all
accommodations and meals for your group
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

All meals include fresh juice and a dessert at
lunch only (unless otherwise specified).

We have a drink station with water, coffee and tea
available for free all day long.

If you would like to add on anything, such as one
massage per person or one tour (at no additional
cost to the client), please let us know and we will
add that on to the final price for your retreat.

For the instructor or organizer of the group, Gitana
del Mar will cover the stay and meals during the
days of the retreat (1 instructor).
Typically, the leader or instructor does not stay in a
Bungalow, thus allowing for all 8 Bungalows & 2
Glamping Tents to be reserved for the clients. If the
leader decides to not stay in a Bungalow or
Glamper, he/she will have a room in our Maloka
employee house with two shared bathrooms & full
kitchen. If there is a group larger than 18 people
and a second instructor is required, he/she will
receive a 50% discount of the Extra Person Rate
($60 USD per night).

NOT INCLUDED

Each client will have their own individual
tab at the resort. We will charge all snack
& drinks from our bar, massage / spa
services, tours /excursions.

To schedule massages, there will be a sign
up sheet in our dining area. Excursions,
tours and massages must be scheduled
one day before.

All Spa services are extra. Please see
information and pricing on next page.

Tips are NOT included in the nightly
Retreat Package Rate. The tips are shared
between the whole staff of Gitana,
including: the manager, servers, chefs and
kitchen staff, housekeepers, night guard,
gardeners etc. Many times, the groups
pool together one tip (averaging about
$5 USD per person, per day) to leave at
the end of their stay. Our staff is our family
and they are here to make your stay
unforgettable. They will be very
appreciative of your generosity!

Facing the Caribbean Sea, our large Yoga Shala is perfect for hosting your retreat groups
for asana, pranayama, meditation, workshops and more. Our Shala is open air with
natural light for your students to practice Yoga to the soundtrack of the lively jungle and
swaying sounds of the palm trees.

Our Yoga Shala is fully equipped with yoga mats, blocks, straps and blankets for all of
your retreat needs. The shala comfortably fits up to 30 students and is ample space for
yoga, dance, music, and more. We can provide altar space, candles and additional
offerings for workshops and ceremonies.

Our 8 meter high, ocean-front Palm Beach Temple & Lounge is the perfect setting for talks,
workshops, body work, group dinners, live music performances, spiritual ceremonies etc.
Use this space freely with your group to disconnect from your daily routine and connect
with each other and Mother Nature.

Some additional costs may apply depending on event production. Contact us directly to
receive more detailed information and pricing for the different ceremonies, workshops,
group dinners and live music options that we offer.

Our 8 Bungalows are eco-friendly and
offer private outdoor showers and fans
within a tropical aesthetic. Each room
has WiFi, bathroom amenities and daily
cleaning service.

5 Bungalows Suites with private
bathrooms and 1 queen bed and 1
single bed. Three of these Bungalows
have hot water. (Max Occupancy 3
people in each Bungalow).

2 Bungalows Standards with private
bathrooms and 3 single beds
(Standards are a bit smaller than
Suites).

1 Bungalow Treehouse, a two-story
wood and palm thatch bungalow with
an outdoor living room on the first floor,
a bedroom with a balcony on the
second floor, and an open-air,
garden-style bathroom with hot water
shower. A King bed or two single beds
can be configured.

Total of 6 Queen Beds, 1 King Bed & 11
Single Beds in the 8 Bungalows
(Maximum 23 guests in Bungalows).

Our 2 large, Luxury Glamping Tents are
completely    set   apart   from   the   other
Bungalows and nestled under mango and
palm trees.

These 20 square meter tents (215sqft) offer
privacy, jungle views and their own wooden
deck. These Glampers can be set up with 3
Single Beds OR 1 Single Bed and 1 Queen
Bed. Each Glamper has a private open-air,
garden-style bathroom (NO hot water).

OUR KITCHEN

The Gitana Cocina is focused around a fresh menu that combines healthy ingredients
together in a coastal themed, fusion-style menu mixing Colombian, Mediterranean and
Asian flavors. In addition to local and regional fish and seafood, our rotating menu also
features unique chicken, meat, vegetarian and vegan offerings.

We are passionate about supporting our community and using the most local
ingredients available, including fruit, veggies and herbs from our own gardens and
fresh-caught fish and seafood from our regional fisherman. The ever-evolving menu
changes daily and meals are included in the per person rate.

Included in our nightly rate are 3 meals a day. Additional snacks, desserts, drinks, cocktails
and beverages are available per your guest’s requests and at an additional cost.

Our kitchen can accommodate any vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free requests as long
as you let us know in advance prior to your visit.
We will provide you with a rooming & dietary document to input all of your guest’s
information once you’ve booked your retreat week!

you to offer additional excursions, adventures and workshops for your guests to fully experience
“The Heart of the World”.

We will help you arrange each excursion and transport with our local guides. All of our
workshops, performances and ceremonies are lead by local artisans and indigenous leaders.

We offer our retreat guests opportunities for community service and encourage your group to engage and
immerse themselves in the local villages and schools.

Please let us know which activity you would like to organize with your group and we can send you more detailed
information and a quote. The rates range from about $50,000 COP - $130,000 COP per person, depending on the
activity, transport and material costs, as well as a percentage that is designated for the donation to the La Sierra
Artist Residency Foundation.

Our MINIMUM NIGHTLY RATE for reserving the entire resort for you group:
    2020 – up to 18 people, $2,400 / 2021 – up to 20 people, $2,600.

    Each person extra (up to 29 people maximum) - $125 USD per person, per night.

IMPORTANT: ALL RETREAT GROUPS MUST RESERVE THE WHOLE PROPERTY EXCLUSIVELY
FOR THEIR RETREAT. IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 18 CLIENTS, YOU ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE
FOR THE MINIMUM NIGHTLY RATE (UP TO 18 PEOPLE IN 2020 - UP TO 20 PEOPLE IN 2021).

    Our Minimum group size to reserve the resort exclusively is 10 clients
    (single occupancy in each Bungalow & Glamper).

    The minimum reservation is 3 nights with a maximum of 7 nights.

    All 8 Bungalows & 2 Glampers have a maximum of Triple Occupancy
    (Maximum Total 29 guests).

    All rates include 3 delicious, gourmet meals created by our Chef.

THESE PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE GRATUITY, BUT GUESTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO LEAVE A TIP

This tip is shared between the whole staff of Gitana, including: the manager, servers, chefs and
kitchen staff, housekeepers, night guard, gardeners etc. Many times, the groups pool together one
tip (averaging about $5 USD per person, per day) to leave at the end of their stay. The staff will be
very appreciative and are here to make your experience unforgettable!

RECOMMENDATIONS:
To calculate the final pricing that will be marketed to clients, generally a retreat leader will add
between $50 and $200 per person to the per night rates listed above (depending on the services
the specific retreat leader includes, such as yoga classes, meditation, bodywork etc.). Also, if the
retreat leader will include any spa services and/or tours for the clients this will increase the final, per
person price for the clients.

After years of experience working with many amazing retreat leaders, we have found that the most
successful retreats are those that establish their “Full Price” marketed to their clients at a little bit
higher of a rate so that they are able to offer generous and attractive discounts from the very start,
such as “Early Bird” pricing. This helps generate buzz and early bookings, then as the time goes by
you start reducing or taking away the discounted rates. The idea is that those that book early
receive the best rate. With a higher priced “Full Price”, you are also able to offer “Last Minute” type
discounts as well, if needed.

I N S T R U C T O R R AT E S

For the instructor or organizer of the group, Gitana del Mar will cover the stay and meals
during the days of the retreat (1 instructor). Typically, the leader or instructor does not stay
in a Bungalow or Glamper that way all 8 Bungalows & 2 Glampers can be reserved
exclusively for the clients.

The instructor will have a room in our Maloka employee house with two shared bathrooms.
If a second instructor or assistant is required and the group is larger than 18 people,
he/she will receive a 50% discount of the Extra Person Glamper Rate ($60 USD per night).
If the assistant is included in the total of the 18 people, then there is no extra charge.

R E T R E AT R E S E R VAT I O N PAY M E N T C O N D I T I O N S :
   To confirm the retreat reservation and block out your dates on our calendars, we
   require an initial 25% deposit of the Retreat Total.*

   The second 25% deposit is due 4 months prior to your arrival.*

   The remaining 50% balance is due 45 Days prior to arrival/check-in.**

   *The first two 25% deposits can be made via Paypal “Friends & Family” to
   info@gitanadelmar.com.co, via Paypal Invoice (payable with credit/debit card) or via
   wire transfer to our USA bank account. Please let us know which option you prefer.

   **We require the final 50% balance to be paid via Credit/Debit card (not via Paypal or
   US Bank Transfer). You can provide us with your card details via phone. This final
   payment can also be paid upon arrival with your card, pending approval from Gitana
   del Mar. Any additional guests will be added to this final balance.

CA N C E L L AT I O N C O N D I T I O N S :

   If Gitana del Mar has to cancel the retreat for any reason, we will give you a full refund
   of any deposits paid.

   If the retreat is cancelled for acts of God (Tsunami, earthquakes, storms) or civil unrest
   then we return all deposits minus the first $1,000 US.

   If the Retreat Leader cancels the retreat, all the deposits are non-refundable as
   detailed below:

   If the retreat is cancelled within 4 months (120 days) of check-in date, client receives
   50% refund of deposited amount to date (first 25% deposit).

   If the retreat reservation is cancelled within 60-120 days prior to check-in date, client
   receives 25% refund of deposited amount to date.

   If the retreat reservation is cancelled within 0-45 days prior to check-in date, client
   receives NO refund.

   All refunds are subject to a 10% Processing Fee.

Many retreats decide to start in Cartagena, because the airport is international and there are
more flight options. It is also great to spend a night or two there as it is a great city full of culture.
We can organize transport for your whole group from to/from Cartagena or Barranquilla in vans
as well. Inquire for pricing. These prices are in COP because they are paid directly to the driver
upon your arrival. They are also subject to change at anytime depending on the transport
companies.
