• HOW TO G E T T O S A M U I ? • BY PLANE The easiest way to arrive in Samui is to land at Bangkok Suvarnhabumi Airport, one of the largest international airports in Southeast Asia and regional hub for aviation. You will then take a connecting flight to Samui, only 65 minutes flight from Bangkok. There are daily flights from all major European and American cities to Bangkok. You can also choose to land at Singapore, Hong Kong or Kuala Lumpur and take a connecting flight to Samui. Koh Samui International Airport holds the crown as the most KO H S A MU I beautiful and best designed international airport. It is privately owned and operated by Bangkok Airways. International direct flights to Samui from: Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Guangzhou, Kunming, Chongquing, Chengdu Domestic direct flights to Samui from: Bangkok (26 flights per day), Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Mai, Pattaya. BY FERRY Koh Samui can also be reached from the mainland by ferry (1 and a half hours) from Donsak City with daily crossings from 5 am until 7 pm. 6

Even in an Asian continent less affected by Covid-19 than Europe and the United States, Thailand is an exception with just 87 deaths since the crisis began more than a year ago. Each traveler currently wishing to visit the country must complete a 15-day quarantine in a state-certified hotel after obtaining a Certificate of Entry (COE) issued by the Thai Embassy in the country of departure. After landing in Bangkok or Phuket, it is possible to do this quarantine in a very wide selection of hotels ranging from entry level to 5 stars.
