Editorial WORLD CHANGER FOR JESUS! Many lives are changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Some unbelievers have come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, others are touched by the love and kindness you have shown. Recipient churches among the Orang Asli, in Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia and Japan have benefitted from the biblical teaching and spiritual lessons you have taught. We, as the sending church have learnt unity, fellowship, perseverance and faith. This tripartite partnership – God’s gospel through churches to the world – that is founded on God’s love, the Word of truth and His Spirit’s power, develops our missional call to be world changers for Jesus. Thank you church for participating in these 50 life-changing mission trips in 2018. LOCAL : 1. 11 Mar Sungkai, Perak PJ Chinese 2. 11 Mar Tj. Spending time with the Sizang Myanmar Church was a great source of inspiration for me. The love and passion for God, the depth of character and faith that I found there, even in the face of big challenges and much uncertainty is something truly beautiful. It was a privilege to serve alongside young men and women who demonstrated such love and care for their people. The generous hospitality and warm friendship of the community at New Life Restoration Centre has been a great encouragement to me. I have been well cared for by my hosts and friends as well as many others in the community. I know God will bless you for your generosity and I pray our friendship will continue to grow in God.

Our first meeting with the KBF was on a Wednesday night. I noticed a stark difference in the way the KBF members worship - they were generally reserved and did not display emotions (clapping/lifting of hands) during the praise and worship sessions. Most of them seemed more comfortable with sitting down and quietly singing along to the songs. Don’t get me wrong, it is perfectly fine to worship the Lord in quiet solitude. In fact, it is in the quietness and stillness before the Lord that we often find Him. The atmosphere in KBF that Wednesday night however, was a different kind of “quiet” – the air was heavy, and it felt restrained. It seemed like songs of worship. We put in practice people were holding themselves and got everyone to stand up, close back and just dipping their toes in their eyes and immerse themselves the ‘river’ not really wanting to be in worship. Eivin How 信。
