UPDATE to Youth Swim Lessons Enrollment Process SFRPD offers Learn to Swim lessons for children 6-17 at all of our 9 aquatic centers. We have made some updates to our enrollment process to ensure youth have better access when registering for the swim lessons and therefore progress through the swim levels with the end goal of being water safe. Enrollment in one lesson per session for a youth. To provide more access for youth to enroll, we are allowing parents/guardians to enroll one youth in only one swim lesson per session. This will allow an additional 150 youth to have access to a swimming slot each session. Wait List option available only for youth not currently enrolled in a lesson. We will acknowledge waiting list enrollment only for children who are not enrolled in a lesson. This will allow slots that open up to go easily to those not yet enrolled in a lesson. In order to enroll in a swim level, the youth must have passed the previous swim level. As a youth passes a level, their account will be updated to recognize their eligibility to enroll in the next level. Enrolled youth participating in the RPD swim lessons are eligible to advance to each swim level. This will allow for the child to promote through the levels more quickly and allows space for other children to enroll.
