• Masks are required upon entry to the building.
• Mask breaks will be given during physical activity.
• All Lobby Areas are closed, please exit the building promptly after dropping off and picking up your child

INTRODUCTION TO GYMNASTICS: Movement education, basic tumbling skills and an introduction to gymnastics
apparatus as a basis for more formal gymnastics instructions and as a good foundation for other sports.

INTRODUCTION TO TAP/BALLET: This class introduces the fundamentals of Ballet and Tap along with the
enjoyment of movement to music for children age 4, must enrolled in a Prek 4 program.
WEDNESDAYS 3:45-4:45pm (age: pre-k 4s) Children need ballet and tap shoes and must be appropriate age at first class.

HAPPY PIANO BABY BOUNCE We provide an entertaining, musical world that captivates the attention of your little
one! Brilliant colors, vibrant sounds! Their voices learn to imitate sound and their fingers touch various little instruments. For

HAPPY PIANO JAMBOREE An early childhood music literacy program that really rocks! Participants will enjoy

Introductory gymnastics classes geared to the developmental stages of children ages 16-23 months (Tumble
Babies), 24 to 35 months (Tumble Tots), 36 to 48 months (Tumble Bees). Children and parents will enjoy
exploratory activities followed by instruction with emphasis placed on large motor skills and basic gymnastic
concepts, accomplished through music and varied activities on our agility and gymnastics apparatus.

Gymnastics Instruction For Girls:
Participants will receive instruction on the four women’s Olympic events: Floor Exercise, Uneven Bars,
Balance Beam and Vault. Gymnasts may also use the Tumble Trak and Trampoline for skill development.

CrossFit Kids at The Rock is a functional strength and conditioning program designed especially for kids, utilizing
the revolutionary CrossFit method. We teach children about functional exercises that mimic the everyday movements
they do when they play- like pull, push, run throw, climb, lift and jump. We promote better nutrition and eating
habits and the development of greater self-confidence, leadership and teamwork skills. We focus on having fun,
building strong and healthy bodies and minds, and develop within your child a lifelong love of fitness.
This exciting program is for boys and girls ages 6-8 and 9-12 (1-hour class).
All classes are taught by CrossFit The Rock certified coaches.

Prepare your dog for the “social season” with an 10-week session of Dog Obedience classes, taught by Rena
Dershowitz. Group classes offer natural distractions, learn-by-example, and a comfortable environment for you
and your dog to grow. Three classes are offered weekly on Monday evenings.
One (10 week) Winter session: Mondays, January 3rd to March 21st, 2022.

THE 2nd ANNUAL
“RVC Holiday Lights”
Homeowners are invited to dig out their lights and decorations to
showcase their holiday spirit and traditions and win bragging rights
for the Village’s second annual community-wide decorating contest.
Each home entered into the contest will be included in a community
listing that will be available to residents who are encouraged to take
a lights tour and cast their vote online at www.rvcny.gov. See Santa
and his helpers at Village Hall on Sunday, December 12, 4 - 5 p.m.
This is a drive-by only and all participants are asked to remain in
their vehicles.
IMPORTANT DATES
! December 6, 2021: Last day to register your home. A home may
register in any one category of your choosing and still be included in the
“Best Block” category. Please call the Recreation Center at 678-9238 to enter.
! December 8, 2021: Participating homes should have their decorations
completed.
! December 10 & 11, 2021: Get your list of decorated homes at
www.rvcny.gov. Pile in the car with the family and tour the light displays
thr oughout the Village.
Make sure to vote online at www.rvcny.gov until Sunday, December 12, 8 p.m.
! December 15, 2021: Winning homes will be announced on the Village website
and social media pages.
HOMES WILL BE JUDGED ON CURB APPEAL IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
Clark Griswold: Over the top lighting and decorations.
Martha Stewart: Design elements that make Martha Stewart jealous.
Party of Lights: Can we see your home from space?
Best Block: Sign up the whole block.
Family Friendly: Displays that engage our youngest residents.

North Pole Calling
The Rockville Centre Recreation Department conducts the North Pole Calling program
to provide an opportunity for children ages 4 to 2nd grade to speak with Santa Claus.
If you want your child to receive a phone call from Santa, fill out the information form
below and submit it to the Rec. Center office no later than Saturday, December 11.
