The Whistledown is the perfect venue to relax and celebrate the Festive
Season in style. Our Christmas Party Nights cater for both small or large groups in
the Oisin Function Suite. Doors open from 7.30pm and once all your group has
arrived we commence service at 8pm sharp with a Whistledown traditional four
course dinner. Your tables come dressed with Christmas Crackers and Santa often
drops by so you can enjoy the festive fun.
Our resident DJ provides each party night with hits through the
decades with the fun going on until around 1.00am.

Christmas Celebrations in the
Bistro Restaurant
As an alternative to our Christmas Party Nights you are welcome to celebrate
with an exquisite dinner amidst the glistening Christmas decorations, relaxing music
and ambient surroundings of our Bistro Restaurant.
On Friday and Saturday nights in December, guests making bookings from
8.00pm are welcome to remain at their table for the evening
or alternatively the party can continue in Finn’s Bar with our Resident DJ from
9.30pm. See page 6 for details of the Bistro Evening Menu.

10BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
To ensure the smooth running of the hotel over the busy Christmas period it is necessary
to follow the terms and conditions detailed below for all Christmas reservations. We
would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and co-operation
• No booking will be confirmed in the diary until a signed copy of the terms and conditions and a
holding deposit has been received by the Whistledown hotel. All bookings will be treated as enquiries
until both the deposit and a signed copy of the terms and conditions are received by the company.
• A provisional booking can be held for one week only at which point a deposit of £10 per person
for lunch bookings and £20 per person for evening bookings is required to secure the
reservation. If you are booking accommodation a £40 deposit per room is also required.
• We regret that any bookings with deposits outstanding after one week will be automatically
cancelled.
• Deposits are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable and any individual who does not turn
up will automatically lose their deposit.
• The deposit cannot be used to offset the final bill or used towards a bar bill should numbers drop.
• Final numbers must be confirmed by 1st December. The final numbers confirmed will be the
number charged for unless the numbers increase. Additional numbers can only be accommodated
subject to availability. Any unconfirmed seats at 1st December will be re-released for sale.
• Final payment must be settled in full one week prior to your party booking and we can only
issue one bill per booking. If the event falls within the seven days, full payment is required within
48 hours of the booking being made.
• Lunch bookings between 12.30pm - 3.00pm are welcome to remain in the restaurant until 5.00pm
when we will then require the tables for our early evening bookings.
• In the case of large parties it may not be possible to seat the entire party at the one table but we
will endeavour to keep the party together as far as is reasonably possible. We cannot pre-allocate
tables prior to the event or guarantee seating plans in advance.
• For all party nights in the Oisin Suite the meal will be served at 8pm sharp with entertainment
commencing at 10.30pm. We ask all customers to arrive on time so that we may provide you with the
best level of service. If customers are late they may find that it affects the service of their table.
• For Whistledown Bistro bookings it is essential that your party arrive at the time stated on your
booking form.
• Your order should be submitted in advance by completing the enclosed order form, but it is essential
that all party members correctly remember their advance order on the night. It is advisable to retain a
photocopy of the pre-order submitted.
• Party nights in The Oisin Suite are restricted to those who have dined in the Function suite.
Extra guests will not be permitted to join the party night for entertainment only.
• No company charges will be permitted unless prior arrangement is made with one of the Hotel’s
senior management.
• If any of your party has any special dietary requirements, please notify us at least one week prior to
your party reservation.
• Please note that alcohol which has been purchased outside the hotel may not be consumed on the
premises. We understand that often gifts of an alcoholic nature may be exchanged during the
Christmas season, however please note that consumption of alcohol purchased outside our premises
may not be consumed in the hotel. Anyone found in breach of this policy will have the item
confiscated and be asked to leave the hotel by Management.
