VICAIR’S GROUNDBREAKING TECHNOLOGY
The best medium for pressure redistribution is air. Vicair has
captured this air in SmartCells, of which there are hundreds in
each wheelchair cushion. The cells move individually, slowly
adjusting the anti-decubitus cushion to the body’s contours. The
result is superior pressure redistribution, optimal positioning and
excellent sitting comfort for the user.
The Vicair technology was developed in cooperation with the
Amsterdam Rehabilitation Centre (Reade) and awarded with the
Grand Prix at the ‘Salon des Inventions’ in Geneva, Switzerland.
