This is a big season for us with huge shows like Avenue Q, Mr Stink and Madagascar The Musical, alongside music legends like Graham Nash, Soul II Soul, Don McLean and Wet Wet Wet’s Marti Pellow. 5ive’s Ritchie Neville stars as the lead role in Jack and the Beanstalk, our 2019 giant of a panto! We hope to break last year’s record and attract more people to the venue, oh yes we do...(sorry, couldn’t help it!) Every season we are building momentum and attracting bigger and better artists and companies to work with us. With your support, this venue has the potential to be the best theatre in the region and we look forward to welcoming you and sharing our passion for arts, culture and entertainment with you. MUSIC ICONS 05.05.19 Daniel O’Donnell Sun, 16:00 Southport Theatre The rumours are true, Daniel O’Donnell is back in Southport ready to wow his audience with a revamped band. One of the best loved artistes of our time, both at home and abroad, Daniel is stopping by our seaside town on his latest world tour. With his latest album entering the charts at #9 Daniel is on top form and ready to give his fans a show to remember. Elkie brooks LIVE 12.05.19 Sun, 19:30 Floral Hall Ballroom Elkie Brooks is one of the most successful singers the UK has ever produced. Since her career began in the early 1960s, as a support act to The Beatles, she has won over a legion of fans worldwide. Coming to Southport this May, Elkie’s show promises to be an evening of soulful music from the prolific artist. 4
07.06.19 NICK LOWE & LOS STRAITJACKETS Fri, 19:30 Southport Theatre Nick Lowe has made his mark as a producer (Elvis Costello, Graham Parker, The Pretenders, The Damned), songwriter, short-lived career as a pop star, and a lengthy term as a musicians’ musician. Accompanied by Los Straitjackets, the show is looking set to be a night of unbeatable guitar licks and majestic music. Paul carrack Thu, 20:00 04.07.19 Southport Theatre Paul Carrack, one of the most revered voices in music, will return to Southport with the new album ‘These Days’. The most accomplished collection of songs in his distinguished career, it features 11 brand new compositions, six of them Carrack solos and five co-writes with his old Squeeze bandmate Chris Difford. 5
16.07.19 Graham Nash Tue, 20:00 Southport Theatre Legendary artist, Grammy Award winner and two-time hall of fame inductee, Graham Nash, brings his soulful voice and powerful music to Southport Theatre this July. With a career spanning over several decades from The Hollies, to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, this night will be full of some of the most awe inspiring and beautiful music of our time. 6
