Welcome Logan Art Gallery is one of the most dynamic regional galleries in South-East Queensland, showcasing the best local and touring art, craft, and design exhibitions. You'll be inspired by practical art workshops and exhibition talks, find beautiful, locally-made artworks in the Gallery Store, and enjoy the activities in the Young Peoples Gallery. We look forward to seeing you at the gallery. 24 January to 7 March 2020 — Exhibitions Mei Mei Liu, Coral impression, 2018, ink on rice paper Mei Mei Liu: Coral impression Ian Smith: The Beenleigh line Rochedale South artist Mei Mei Liu A solo exhibition by well-known Woodridge combines traditional Chinese calligraphy and artist Ian Smith. This exhibition presents a contemporary watercolour painting techniques series of paintings inspired by passengers and in her series of works inspired by diving on the workers on the Brisbane to Beenleigh train line. Logan Artworkers Networking Events (LANE) Artists’ residencies: what you need to know to get your own residency Saturday 14 March 2020, 2pm to 4pm Logan Art Gallery Join exhibiting artists Ruby Purple, Merri Randell and Chrys Zantis to hear about their individual experiences as creatives in residence and what you need to know to get your own residency. Ruby Purple will speak about her residency at Curtin Springs Station located in the central Australian desert in the Northern Territory. Merri Randell will speak about the grants she has received to undertake some of her residencies including the 2015 Logan BushCare residency. Chrys Zantis will share her experience as Artist in Residence within the Cognitive Neuroscience and Computational Psychiatric Lab at the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences.
