TEACHERS’ CONVENTION 2020 | FEB 13—14, 2020 What’s on at Arts Commons during Teachers’ Convention 2020 Arts Commons has been a provider of arts based professional development for over a decade. Whether you are an elementary generalist looking for new ways to activate learning through the arts, or a specialist teaching the visual and performing arts at the Jr. High and High School level, we hope you will join us for Teachers’ Convention 2020. Trudie Lee HarderLee Photography operate one of the largest photography studios in Calgary. Partners, Brian Harder & Trudie Lee have over 60 years combined experience photographing people and projects around the world. They work with some of the countries largest companies as well as being very involved in the Calgary Arts community. They have a wide repertoire of work ranging from the oil sands to the dance studios. Some of their clients include Corus Entertainment, Suncor, Enmax, DJD, Calgary Opera, and Theatre Calgary to name just a few. For more information check out HarderLee.ca. Verna Vogel Verna studied Fine Arts Foundation at Capilano University, Vancouver BC. She then received an international study grant to attend the Malaysian Institute of Art in Kuala Lumpur for one year, where she focussed on Chinese ink painting and Asian cultural studies, earning a Fine Art Year 3 certificate. Verna currently maintains an active studio practice in Calgary AB, where she finds inspiration through materials and processes, applying a high degree of craftsmanship to create 2D pictures and 3D art installations.
