NEW BRUNSWICK Experience the NEW roads at Fundy Trail Parkway Part of two UNESCO designated sites and home to the top 50 hiking trails in the world, the Fundy Trail is a 2,559 hectare park featuring a 30 km parkway hugging the southern coast of New Brunswick. With a new eastern entrance completed this year, the park continues to develop with plans to build an additional entrance connecting the Parkway to the Village of Alma and Fundy National Park in 2021. With stunning views of the world-renowned Bay of Fundy, the park has been carved out of the Fundy escarpment, one of the last remaining coastal wilderness areas between Florida and Labrador. Visitors can drive the paved parkway that hugs the 250 m coastal cliffs, explore trails that lead to

For centuries it has been used as a portage route by the First Nations people of the area. Kicking off with a special birthday event in Lunenburg in March, activities will run throughout the year with a highlight being a celebration festival planned for August as well as 100 days of harbour tours with each sail telling a themed story relating the history of The Bluenose. The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic will also expand and revise its Bluenose exhibit to mark the celebration.
