Wessex Log Cabins The Wessex Range of log cabins by Merit Garden Products, a company that has been manufacturing and distributing timber garden buildings for over 25 years. Most of our Log Cabin kits are assembled in the UK which offers our customers great flexibility. The Wessex Range is a stunning collection of log constructed Summerhouses, Garden Offices & Garages. They offer superb quality at incredible value for money, and we are certain that you will find a building that will suit your requirements. The 28mm Log Cabins are single glazed. All the 44mm Log & 70mm Log Cabins are double glazed as standard (excluding the garages) which adds to their outstanding value. All the doors are right hand hinged and single windows are top hinged. The buildings come with tongue & grooved 19mm floor & roof boards. A range of roof options are available. Most of the buildings are 2.57m high and 2.05m to the eaves. If you require them to be under 2.5m high for planning purposes, then we can offer this as an option on most buildings.The apex style have a 700mm overhang. The width and length quoted are nominal. The finished widths and lengths are 50mm less than the nominal size quoted. Most of the Wessex Range can be customised and adapted to suit your needs at little additional cost. Window & door positions can be altered, Roof overhangs can be minimised & a pent style roof can be added on many of the buildings. You can add celotex floor & roof insulation to enhance your building. If you wish to erect the building yourself we provide clear & easy to follow installation manuals. Alternatively, if you would rather enjoy relaxing in your new space immediately, you may wish to opt for our installation service. This is available on all of our cabins at a minimum charge of £700 or 20% of the building price (whichever is the greater) We offer a nationwide delivery service throughout England, which is free to many areas. Please ask about any delivery charges that may apply to where you live. Our team of drivers provide a full delivery service of your cabin to your home. All of the Wessex Log Cabins are supplied untreated, with the exception of the foundation beams which are pressure treated with Tanalith E. CRANBOURNE LOG CABIN
This lovely corner summerhouse fits neatly to any corner of a garden, ideal for gardens where space
is at a premium. Made from either 28mm or 40mm logs, this building comes with two side single
glazed windows. The 28mm are single glazed and the 44mm are double glazed. They are all 2.8m
high to the ridge.

The octagonal Westbury comes with double doors and four opening windows. Constructed in
40mm logs. The doors and windows are double glazed. The ridge height is approx 310cm

Wessex Garden Buildings are supplied untreated with the exception of the bearers and we
recommend that you treat them within a few days of assembly, with an appropriate product.
We recommend that you treat the wood with a treatment that is suitable for use on Planed
Timber. In addition to any colour treatment you may choose we recommend that they are
also treated with wood preserver, some of these are combined in one product. Please ask for
advice on treating your cabin and our recommended products.

SANDFORD and PORTLAND
The Sandford comes with a half-glazed door and a single window fitted as standard.
The Portland has double half glazed doors fitted as standard. The picture below shows
the Portland fitted with the optional fully glazed, toughened glass doors. Add a side window
or fully glazed doors to your building as an extra.

LULWORTH
The Lulworth comes with half glazed double doors. 4.2 x 3M has two single windows

The Purbeck comes with an offset roof with the doors
and windows on the long/high side of the building.
This maximises headroom while still keeping the building
under 2.5M. This is avaialble with half or full glazed double
doors (as picture) to one side.

and braced with internal top and bottom bolts. There is no floor in the Garage so it is

ROOFING
Non Rip Felt - Polyester felt with bitumen back for longer life.
Shingles - These are fibre glass based bitumen,
hexagonal shingles which are available in Green, Red or Black
Steel Tiles - Tile effect steel sheeting, available in
Slate Grey, Juniper Green Or Terracotta. They are light weight but,
Robust for long life.
Bituline - Corrugated Bitumen
sheets available in Green, Red or Black
Rubber EPDM - 1 piece of black rubber sheeting which is
glued down. Excellent resistance to water and weathering

range of Protek treaments which we fully recommend as a premium product to prolong the life of your building
This wood treatment lasts up to 5 years depending on the number of coats applied and prevailing
environmental conditions. Available in a wide range of wood finishes and contemporary & historical colours.
Suitable for all wood types with a quick drying formula with good adhesion and resistance. One coat will
produce a translucent finish allowing the wood grain to really show through. A 2nd coat increases the opacity
giving a richer deeper colour and a 3rd coat will produce a hard gloss finish.
