Growing up in North Queensland, Kat didn’t really know what she wanted to do with her life—but she knew it
would involve empowering her people. She chose a double degree at QUT and her decision has paid off, with two
international experiences including the UN Peace Summit in Bangkok and a paid legal internship that’s given her
four years of experience in a law firm. She’s now closing in on her ambition to become a human rights lawyer.
