Congratulations and Welcome! Your student was recently admitted to UC Riverside and is now part of the Highlander family — and so are you! This digital brochure provides resources and answers to some frequently asked questions that may be of interest to you. This year, UCR received over 66,000 freshmen and transfer applicants, which shows a significant increase over the previous year’s nearly 63,000 applicants. UCR can only accept a fraction of those students, so the fact that your student was accepted speaks to their accomplishments and potential, and to the encouragement and support they have received from you along the way. The next step is for your student to say YES to UC Riverside by submitting their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) through their My.UCR.edu account by May 1 for freshmen or June 1 for transfer students. After that, we will provide more details on your student’s future here! For now, this booklet is a good start to discover more about UCR and how we help your student succeed. I look forward to the day when I can welcome you and your student to our beautiful campus as we prepare for in-person instruction for fall 2021. Be assured we’re doing everything expected (and more) of a leading UC campus to #KeepHighlandersHealthy. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at admissions.ucr.edu/ask. Kim A.
