FAQ
WHAT IS A VIRTUAL CONVENTION? A virtual convention is hosted entirely over the Internet. It
will allow attendees to access the event live and hear presentations from their computers - anywhere
you have internet access! Attendees participate through a conference website designed specifically
for our virtual convention. This is the site where you will watch classes, view presentations, and can
interact directly live with the instructor with questions or comments during the class session.

WHAT HAPPENS ONCE I REGISTER? Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email. KEEP
THIS EMAIL as it has your user name. You will not enter the Convention website until the event starts.

ARE THE SESSIONS LIVE OR RECORDED? Many of our sessions are live this year, meaning the
instructor is teaching while you watch! We also have many classes that are pre-recorded. The pre-
recorded classes will also have live Q&A after the recording has been shown. We're also adding
several On Demand classes this year! These classes will not have live Q&A as they are available to
watch at your convenience and not shown at a specific time during Convention. Note the
designations on each class:

B Business class

T Technique class

D Demo

L The class is presented live

*    On Demand class

WHAT SUPPLIERS ARE ATTENDING? See the Sponsors listed on page 3. The CCSA website
Convention page will have supplier updates posted regularly.

CAN I MEET WITH SUPPLIERS AT A VIRTUAL CONVENTION? Yes. You will be able to download
resources and set up meetings with our suppliers.

GRATITUDE STRATEGIES TO CREATE A
CULTURE THAT ROCKS!
LISA RYAN, FEATURED SPEAKER
MONDAY, 12PM

Mother Teresa once said, “We are more starved for appreciation than we are
for bread.” If you are looking for an inspirational program that has both
personal and professional impact, this is for you. Gratitude is more than the
“soft and fluffy” emotion that you may be attributing to it. In this session,
you’ll learn how gratitude strategies (or Grategies) will change your
perspective to focus on the good, experience health benefits from choosing
positive emotions, improve your relationships with others and create a
workplace culture that ROCKS!

Workplace culture has lots of components:
• Attracting the right people SPONSORED BY
• Keeping employees engaged and inspired
• Being known in your community as THE place to work
• Having an inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone
• Being a part of a greater mission

In this fun, engaging, highly interactive virtual session, you will get real- COMPANY WEBSITE
world ideas and strategies to use right away:
• Experience a simple daily practice that positively impacts every area of life
• Learn gratitude strategies (Grategies) that strengthen your relationships
• Look at the characteristics of each generation and why they “act like that”
• Discuss best practices for finding, attracting and retaining new talent
• Implement strategies to build engagement across multigenerational teams
• Discover why the focus should be on employees who are doing things well,
instead of the toxic workers who are sucking the life out of your company. By
creating a culture of appreciation in the workplace as well as an
understanding between all the generations in the workplace, you’ll have a
better chance of keeping your top talent from becoming someone else’s

Back by popular demand! We are honored to have Dan & Rosie back this year for our social
hour entertainment. You won't want to miss these talented performers.

Dan Heidt
Monday, 5:30-6:30pm
Dan Heidt is a songwriter and guitarist who grew up in Charleston,
WV, but has spent the last 12 years of his life in Columbus, OH. He
spent his youth in song circles and coffeehouses with musicians much
better than he was, and spent long road trips with his family listening
to greats like John Denver, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, and The
Carpenters, giving him a deep appreciation for well-scripted and well-
crafted songwriting. His style sort of reflects and respects that time, a
story-driven musical narrative, accompanied by a finger style inspired
by fellas like James Taylor, Jackson Browne, and especially the
aforementioned John Denver. In his spare time, he feeds stray cats
and hosts a Podcast called "Flies in the Kitchen," where he has great
conversations with the creatives of the world - at least his corner of it.

Rosie Hays
Tuesday, 5:45-6:45pm
Rosie Hays is originally from the New Orleans area. She studied
music therapy and piano at Loyola University New Orleans before
moving to Chicago to perform in 2011. Since then, she has been
playing piano and singing all request shows in Chicago venues, such
as the Tack Room in Thalia Hall, the Zebra Lounge, and Howl at the
Moon. She has also played shows for various events and conferences
across the country and has performed internationally for Norweigan
Cruise Line. Additionally, Rosie is a practicing board-certified music
therapist and Kindermusik teacher.

speak about how working in partnership with All Fired Up benefits
them and why the relationships have been in place for years. Hear
from an elementary school principal and/or preschool director,
school counselor or grade-level teacher, an art teacher, PTA/PTO
board member, and a church religious education director. Each will
discuss what’s important to them, how the sales worked in their

recently celebrated their 30th anniversary together and love the great outdoors and traveling. Jackie hails
from Texas, still has the accent, and brings the business brain, process management, and number
crunching. Gail is from Wisconsin and oversees studio operations, marketing materials creation, and event
production/ execution with their team of staff. Both operate from a mantra of “givers gain” and still wake
up each day with a spring in their step, even this many years in for the industry they love so much.
