A Seminal Discovery: C. thermocellum Can Fix CO2 While Converting Waste Biomass to H2 • Tracking Carbons • 13C-carbon tracer is a powerful tool Carbon Flux Map • Machine Learning to track the fate and flux of carbon inside the cells • Flux map analysis revealed CO2 fixation via a novel pathway, with ~15% increase in carbon efficiency.
