RECYCLING BIN
EMPTIED FORTNIGHTLY
If your 240L bin regularly gets full, contact the City to upgrade 5L
to a 360L recycling bin at no additional charge.
ON COLLECTION DAY
What you CAN place in your recycling bin: You may place beside your
recycling bin on collection day:
» Clean rigid plastic: Food and drink containers,
yoghurt pots, milk and juice bottles, rigid plastic 1 x car battery; and
containers, soft drink and water bottles. 1 x 5L container of engine oil
(in the original container).
» Clean paper and cardboard: Milk and juice cartons,
magazines, newspapers, egg cartons, junk mail, Please place where the driver
cardboard boxes. can see them.
» Clean aluminium and steel: Food and drink cans, *subject to change
metal jar lids, bottle tops.
» Clean glass: Food and drink bottles, jars, broken glass,
wine bottles, spirit bottles.
TIPS » Keep recyclables loose and not in bags » Flatten your cardboard boxes » Squash your plastic

HAVE YOU LEFT ENOUGH SPACE?
To ensure waste trucks can empty your bins, there needs to be enough space between them
and your bins should be clear from obstructions such as parked vehicles, trees and tree canopy,
overhead powerlines and posts.
And please remember: NOT DIRECTLY
» Bins need to be out by 6.00am; UNDER POWER LINES
» Keep the weight of the bin
under 70kg; and
» Avoid over-filling to ensure

Entry vouchers cover one standard entry for a car and trailer
or a car with up to 500kg of clean greens.
» A tonnage fee will be charged for additional clean greens.
