FROM THE TENNIS COURTS TENNIS TIP – BE A GOOD DOUBLES PARTNER You can help your doubles partner in more ways than just trying to Carol Berlet hit winners. You want to be sure that your partner is conf ident and comfortable in a match. Remember that no one tries to make mistakes. Many times, we only see our partner’s mistakes when we are making just as many errors. Worse yet, our shots may be causing our partner to make mistakes. Next time your partner starts to make a few errors, walk to him or her and offer a few supportive words…” don’t worry about it”, “good try”, “that was my fault”. Enjoy your time on the court and see how you can help your partner to get out of a “tennis funk”.
