....... SYDNEY PRE-TOUR March 9–12, 2021 Arrive in Sydney, Australia on March 9. You will be greeted and transferred to the five-star Four Seasons Sydney—ideally located next to The Rocks District and overlooking Sydney Harbour—where we spend three nights and play New South Wales Golf Club, designed by Alister MacKenzie. On the shores of Botany Bay just outside Sydney, New South Wales is ranked #18 in the world by Golf Digest and is sure to be a memorable and delightful round. In addition to golf, there is ample time to explore The Rocks District, tour the Sydney Opera House, get up close and personal with native Australian wildlife at Featherdale Wildlife Park, and enjoy the vibrant and diverse dining scene in this wonderful city. The Sydney tour price is $2,735 per person, double occupancy, in a Deluxe Full Harbour View Room ($3,185 per person, double occupancy, in a Premier Opera View Room; $3,495 per person in a Single Deluxe Harbour View Room), and includes: three nights accommodations, breakfasts, one round of golf, tours and airport transfers. Airfare from Sydney to Auckland is not included and should be arranged as part of your international air itinerary. www.KalosGolf.com 919.942.3464
March 12: Auckland, New Zealand (North Island) Plan to arrive in Auckland on March 12, and you will be transferred to the SkyCity Grand Hotel. Relax and explore this cosmopolitan hub until our welcome reception this evening. ....... March 13: Auckland Golf: Muriwai Golf Club Muriwai Golf Club sits on the west coast adjacent to Muriwai Beach. It is a true links course, built on gently rolling, sandy, well-drained soil. Winds and water have shaped the landscape at Muriwai, and the turf has the feel of Scottish links, tight and firm, an ideal canvas for a strong pitch and run game. Muriwai presents as a classic and fair challenge of player versus elements of weather and terrain, a test of working the ball into the wind and forcing the right bounces along the ground. It is a wonderful opening round on our journey through New Zealand, and a great reminder of the raw and simple beauty of the game. Tour: Auckland We enjoy a panoramic tour of New Zealand’s largest and most diverse city, whose subtropical climate, coastal access and breadth of outdoor activities, rank it consistently at the top of worldwide livability surveys. While over half the population of Auckland is European, it is a melting pot of 190 cultures, demonstrated in a dynamic arts scene, and a wide scope of culinary options. Our day starts in the inner suburbs, working our way over the Harbour Bridge. We stop in Wynyard Quarter, the city’s newest waterfront area, for lunch and time to explore the vibrant shopping scene. Afterwards, we visit the Auckland Museum and for those interested in a bird’s eye view of this “City of Sails,” travel up the iconic Auckland Sky Tower. ....... March 14: Auckland We are fortunate that our visit to Auckland coincides with the 2021 America’s Cup, contested in the waters around Auckland. Guests have a choice today: enjoy taking in a day of world-class sailing, as we spectate the race from prime locations throughout the city. Alternatively, we will travel to Waiheke Island—a haven of vineyards, olive groves and beaches—for lunch and touring. www.KalosGolf.com 919.942.3464
....... March 15: Auckland • Embark Le Bellot Golf: Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club One of New Zealand’s most exclusive clubs, Royal Auckland was granted its “royal” status in 2011. In 2017, the Royal Auckland Golf Club merged with its neighbor, Grange Golf Club, which sits just across an estuary. Since then, the club has been undergoing a massive renovation, connecting the two clubs via bridges that traverse the estuary, and converting the property of 36 holes to 27. Nicklaus Design has developed the new layout, whose early holes were completed in 2019. We will be among the first to play the fully completed design on our journey in 2021. This afternoon, we board Le Bellot. Tour: Food & Wine Tour Our touring day is a journey through a variety of food and wine offerings in and around Auckland. From a charming seaside café in the locale of Point Chevalier to a French chocolatier to “Little India,” to local New Zealand delicacies, our taste buds will relish the gastronomic range of this morning. Afterwards, we travel northwest to the Kumeu wine region where we enjoy tastings before settling in to lunch at the Soljans Estate Winery. Later this afternoon, we embark Le Bellot to begin our voyage. ....... March 16: Bay of Islands (North Island) Golf: Kauri Cliffs Dazzling sea views at every turn and a series of surprising par threes vie for your attention at Kauri Cliffs, ranked #37 in the world by Golf Digest. Kauri Cliffs is demanding off the tee, with a dramatic inbound nine featuring six holes that hug the cliffs, and rolling, expansive topography throughout. Tour: Kiwi Culinary Experience Today we enjoy a unique cooking workshop in which we learn how to prepare New Zealand cuisine. The dishes demonstrated will be served during a gourmet lunch paired with fine Northland wines. www.KalosGolf.com 919.942.3464
....... March 17: Bay of Islands Golf: Kauri Cliffs Golfers will savor a second chance to master this scenic layout, and Kauri Cliffs is up to the challenge. Approach shots will be better measured but new hole locations present plenty of fresh strategic options. Tour: Waitangi Treaty Grounds We visit New Zealand’s paramount historic site, the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, where Māori chiefs first signed their accord with the British Crown—the Treaty of Waitangi—New Zealand’s founding document. Featuring a magnificently carved meeting house, the world’s largest ceremonial war canoe and panoramic views of the Bay of Islands, it is a uniquely beautiful and historic venue. ....... March 18: Day at Sea Delight in a full day at sea on Le Bellot as we travel southward to Napier, enjoying spectacular views of dramatic coastlines and pristine islands along the way. As well, this is an ideal opportunity to relax and recharge taking advantage of the full-service spa on board. ....... March 19: Napier (North Island) Golf: Cape Kidnappers World-ranked #17 by Golf Digest, Cape Kidnappers is a compelling course on a dramatic site and a highlight of our cruise. Tom Doak created this course on land perched 500 feet above Hawke’s Bay and this brilliant design is best demonstrated by how naturally many fairways utilize the most scenic parts of the site and yet remain fully playable. Where Kauri Cliffs is demanding off the tee, Kidnappers tests your approach skill early and often. Tour: Gannet Colony and Napier Our morning begins with a trip to the splendid Cape Kidnappers gannet colony—the only place in the world to see the nesting place of over 20,000 gannets up close. As we watch these birds fly off the cliffs to dive deep for fish, our local guides explain the preening, dance performances and behaviors we witness. In the afternoon, we explore Napier and its famed Art Deco architecture. www.KalosGolf.com 919.942.3464

....... March 20: Napier Golf: Cape Kidnappers Golfers will relish a second round at Kidnappers. No excuses about the prevailing winds today on the par three 6th, a cliff-to-cliff shot, or on the par five 15th hole, otherwise known as “Pirate’s Plank,” which edges out to a green that hangs 450 feet above the Pacific. Tour: Hawke’s Bay Winery We travel to Hawke’s Bay, the oldest established wine growing region in New Zealand, which is home to many of the country’s most famous vineyards. We taste fine wines paired with local specialties for lunch. ....... March 21: Day at Sea All passengers will take pleasure in another day at sea as we relax aboard Le Bellot while cruising these beautiful waters. Sit back, relax and enjoy the personal service and onboard lecturers who share their insight about New Zealand as we take in the natural scenery from aboard our private vessel. ....... March 22: Christchurch (South Island) • Disembark Le Bellot • Home We bid farewell to the captain and crew as we begin transfers for home bound flights, or you may extend your stay and travel on to Queenstown, New Zealand for our extension tour.
