ERASMUS KA1 STAFF TRAINING VENICE INSPIRATION 24.01.2016-31.01.2016 Day 1 Arrival/ Welcome Dinner Receiving organisation: Istituto Cristoforo Colombo, Venezia, Italy, Chiara Mauro in association with Mónica Oliveira mentor and founder of Erasmus KA1 Inspiration courses from Agrupamento vertical de escolas Baixa Chiado, Lisboa, Portugal. Day 2 Morning • 08.30 Settling program with participants (Chiara Mauro & Mónica Oliveira) • 09.00 Presentation of Italian educational system/ The hosting-Institute organisation (Daniela Mazza) • 10.30 Study visit to “Calamandrei” school - first grades of secondary school (11-14) Briefing about Italy/Venice icons of Identity (Franco Prandin) Students guidance visiting school “Calamandrei” (Maria Busulini) Music Exhibition (Susanna Monaro) • 12.00 European aperitif Intercultural event ( Chiara Mauro, Monica Oliveira, Ginevra Giudice)
Day 2 Afternoon Task 1 Reading VENEZIA Sensory training (Monica Oliveira) 14:30 – 18:00 Cultural activities (with Monica Oliveira, Chiara Mauro & Ines Mazzaro) Guided tour “The heart of Venice” - Gran Canal by boat and San Marco square – Romantic view of Venice Room for Thoughts - Register in Logbook (Monica Oliveira) 1) Autobiography of an Intercultural Encounter “ One day in the heart of Venice …” 3 -5 lines 2) Educational Systems Comparative Studies ; Register 3 similarities and 3 differences … 3) Reading the city all senses awareness Register 3-5 words that express your feelings
Day 3 Morning • 08.30 Study Visit to primary school “Colombo” - 6-11 (Nicoletta Frattini, Valentina Knabe) Special event: “The memory day” (with all the teachers & students of the school) • 09.30 - Musical performance using ORFF method (Grazia Scaggiante with class 1 C) • 10.00 - Inclusion and integration in Italy (Anna Ricci with class 4 A) Inclusive approaches Regulation in Italy Collective reading with projection of student drawings • 11.00 – Cooperative Game (Chiara Mauro with class 2B)
Day 3 Afternoon Task 2 Creative thematic Day Hidden Venice (Photo Story working in groups) 15:00 Cultural activities (with Monica Oliveira, Lucia Bovo & Veronica Ragona) Exhibition in Doge’s Palace “Water and Food in Venice; history of the Lagoon and of the City” 17.30 Free Walking Room for Thoughts - Register in Logbook (Monica Oliveira) 1) Discuss elements in your family history which has made you the person you are today • What aspects of that might be thought as European? • What role does language play in the person you are today? 2) Think about what you have seen today and yesterday • Does the place where you live reflect your identity? • Might someone from outside see it differently? • What might influence those perceptions? 3) Creative thematic day • Tell a story with a photo selection 5-20 photos
Day 4 Morning • 9.00 - Study Visit to the primary school “Santa Barbara” - 6-11 Teaching Foreign Languages in Italy (Ines Mazzaro) Inclusion and DSA (Adriana Giotto) Music Exhibition with students of different nationalities lyrics (teachers and classes 2A,2B,2C, 5A, 5B, 5C) • 11.00 - Study Visit to the pre-primary school “Zavrel” 3-6 (Roberta Facchini) Workshops with all classes (with teachers) • 11.00-12.30 Creation of Facebook page for project (Mónica Oliveira) Follow up with photos, reflections and works
Day 4 Afternoon Task 3 Experiental Venice Memories Alive • 14.00 -19.00 The lagoon of Venice (with Monica Oliveira, Chiara Mauro, Veronica Ragona & Roberta Facchini) Art of glass Handcrafts Demonstration with master Fabio@Fornace Critical Pedagogy of place Landscape of the lagoon and barene (Cooperativa il Sestante di Venezia) Naturalistic tour in the islands Murano, Certosa, Vignole, Sant Erasmo, Arsenale Room for Thoughts - Register in Logbook (Monica Oliveira) 1) Study Visits to schools (Remember what you have seen these days …) • Ex: events, workshops, inclusive approaches, teaching foreign languages.. • What did you like the most.. Day 5 Morning • 08.30 -12.00 One day as an Italian teacher (Chiara Mauro job shadowing coordination) Tutors: Franco Prandin, Maria Busulini, Susanna Monaro, Sonia Piovesan, Caterina Tenderini, Alessandro Busani, Vania Contavalli, Ines Mazzaro, Elena Tromba, Roberta Facchini • 09.00 – 12.00 Head-masters visit to the Ufficio Scolastico Regionale Veneto (with Daniela Mazza and Monica Oliveira) Meeting with the Head-director of the Veneto Region (Franca Da Re) National Evaluation System (INVALSI); school self-evaluation report (RAV); the italian way of a competency-based curriculum; comparison between Italy and the other countries
Day 5 Afternoon Task 4 Reading Venice Sensory Training • 14.00 Cultural activities. (with Monica Oliveira, Chiara Mauro, Ginevra Giudice) “The begin of the venetian history”: Visit to islands of Torcello and Burano; Basilica of Torcello and the Archeological Museum; Burano Island: colours, merletti, tasting • 20:00 Typical dinner and Venice by night Room for Thoughts ( Register in Logbook) Monica Oliveira 1) Preparation for Friday’s Meeting. Comparison between Italy and other countries … be prepared to present your conclusions for discussion tomorrow morning • Educational System/curriculum; Teachers Training • Making a European Project
