Yesterday vs. Today • How many children in your class were autistic? • How many children in your class had asthma or needed inhalers? • Were peanut butter & jelly sandwiches banned at your school because they caused allergies?
Yesterday vs. Today
Autism
• 1970’s – 1:10,000 children
• 1980’s – 1:500 children
• 1990’s – 1:200 children
• Today – 1:166 children
– That means that on average, 1:68 families
now have an autistic child
– By the way, no child is ever diagnosed with
autism at birth, they become autistic…
America’s Children Today • Our country is currently ranked last in the world in infant mortality rate • 10 million children have asthma • 40 million children have allergies • 1:400 children are Type I diabetic • 1:6 children are classified as learning disabled in some way • Pediatric cancer has been rising by 3% every year

Thimerosal

seafood, or the environmentReactions to Look For: • Persistent screaming, high pitched or unusual cry. • Unresponsiveness: blank stare, if child goes limp. • Fever with or without seizures or convulsions. • Excessive drowsiness: difficult to arouse, won’t eat/drink even if the child sleeps longer than usual. • Vomiting, diarrhea, headache, nausea or dizziness. • If any of these symptoms occur at any time, you should contact your physician and should be reported to VAERS (the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System).
Polio
Polio: The Truth Polio is a contagious disease caused by an intestinal virus that may attack the nerve cells of the brain and spinal cord. Symptoms include fever, headache, sore throat, and vomiting. Some victims develop neurological complications, including stiffness of the neck and back, weak muscles, pain in the joints, and paralysis.
Polio: The Myth! Many people mistakenly believe that anyone who contracts polio will become paralyzed or die. In fact 95% of everyone who is exposed to the natural polio virus won’t exhibit any symptoms, even under epidemic conditions. About five percent of infected people will experience mild symptoms, such as sore throat, stiff neck, headache, and fever – often diagnosed as a cold or flu. Muscular paralysis has been estimated to occur in about one of every 1,000 people who contract the disease.

Polio: The truth In 1992, the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published an admission that the live-virus vaccine had become the dominant cause of polio in the U.S. In fact, according to CDC figures, every case of polio in the U.S. since 1979 was caused by the oral polio vaccine.
Measles
Measles Measles is a contagious disease caused by a virus that affects the respiratory system, skin, and eyes. Symptoms include a high fever, cough, runny nose, sore, red and sensitive eyes. Small pink spots with gray-white centers develop inside the mouth. Treatment mainly consists of allowing the disease to run its course.

The measles vaccine does not confer
permanent immunity. In fact according
to the World Health Organization (WHO),
the chances are about 15 times greater
that measles will be contracted by those
vaccinated against the disease then by
those who are left alone.

Mumps
Mumps
Mumps is a contagious disease caused by a
virus. The illness begins with fever, headache,
muscle aches, and fatigue. Salivary glands
beneath the ears along the jaw line become
swollen.
Treatment mainly consists of allowing the
disease to run its course.

by Neil Z. Miller 2006, pg 31Mumps: The Truth Mumps is a relatively harmless disease when it is experienced in childhood. Complications are uncommon but can be much more severe when they occur in teenagers and adults. Artificial immunity conferred by the mumps vaccine does not last. Prior to the introduction of the vaccine most children under 10 years of age contracted mumps. Immunity from a natural case is lifelong.
Vaccine Reactions The drug company that produces the mumps vaccine publishes an extensive list of ailments known to have occurred following the mumps or MMR shot. These include aseptic meningitis, encephalitis, orchitis, diabetes mellitus, parotitis (the technical name for mumps) anaphylaxis, and death.
Rubella
Rubella: The Truth Rubella or German Measles is a contagious disease caused by a virus. Symptoms include a slight fever, rash, sore throat, and runny nose. Lymph nodes on the back of the head, behind the ears, and on the side of the neck may become tender. In some instances the joints may become painful and swollen. Rubella is essentially a tame disease when contracted by children. The illness is usually so mild it escapes detection or passes for a cold. Treatment mainly consists of allowing the disease to run it course.
Rubella: The Truth In 1969, the first live rubella virus vaccine was licensed in the U.S. In 1979, vaccine manufacturers started producing and distributing the Wistar RA27/3 strain of the live rubella virus. This vaccine originated from cell lines obtained from the tissue of aborted fetuses.
Vaccine Reactions The drug company that produces the rubella vaccine publishes an extensive list of ailments known to have occurred following the rubella shot. These include arthritis, arthralgia, myalgia, Guillain- Barre Syndrome, polyneurtis, polyneuropathy, anaphylaxis, and death.
Vaccine Reactions Several researchers have documented correlations between the rubella vaccine and neurological disorders, diabetes, and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Diptheria
Diphtheria: The Truth Diphtheria is a contagious bacterial disease of the upper respiratory system spread by coughing and sneezing of infected persons. Symptoms include sore throat, fever, headache, coughing, and swollen lymph nodes in the neck. **Extremely rare**
Diphtheria: Vaccine The diphtheria vaccine was introduced in the 1920’s. Widespread use of this modified toxoid began in the 1940’s when it was combined with the tetanus and pertussis vaccines (DPT).
Diphtheria: The Truth The diphtheria death rate plummeted long before the vaccine was introduced. In the United States, from 1900 to 1930, diphtheria fatalities declined by more then 85%. In 1975, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) concluded that diphtheria toxoid “is not as effective an immunizing agent as might be anticipated.”
Pertussis
Pertussis: The Truth Pertussis is a contagious disease caused by a bacterium that affects the respiratory system. Sometimes called Whooping Cough. Full recovery may take up to 2-3 months but it is rarely fatal.
Pertussis: The Truth A study published in the Journal of Pediatrics indicates that the pertussis vaccine may be only 40-45% effective. Further evidence indicates that immunity is not sustained. Susceptibility to pertussis 12 years after full vaccination may be as high as 95%. It also advises the Pertussis vaccine is among the most dangerous
Pertussis: The Truth The diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis vaccines are usually combined into a single formula (DTP). Components of this triple shot (including the “newly formulated and recently updated version) are “stabilized” using formaldehyde – a known carcinogen. Each dose also contains thimerosal – a derivative of mercury – and aluminum potassium sulfate. Both are toxic to humans.
Pertussis: The Truth
• Each year, severe reactions include:
– 35,000 + convulsions
– 11,000 + severe seizures, permanent
neurological damage, hyperactivity,
retardation and epilepsy
• Children are 94 times a greater risk of dying
from the vaccine alone rather than from
whooping cough itself.
• ~10 deaths per year from whooping cough

Pertussis: and Asthma In 1994, the Journal of the American Medical Association published data showing that children diagnosed with asthma were five times more likely than not to have received the pertussis vaccine.
Pertussis and SIDS Babies die at a rate seven times greater then normal within days after getting a pertussis shot. Dr. Viera Scheibner, the author of the study, concluded that “vaccination is the single most prevalent and most preventable cause of infant deaths.
Tetanus
Tetanus Tetanus is a non-contagious bacterial disease that causes severe muscular contractions. Symptoms include depression, headaches, and spasms that interfere with breathing. Tetanus is caused by toxins produced by a bacterium called Clostridium tetani. The dormant germs live in soil, dust, and manure. They can enter the body though cuts an puncture wounds, but will only multiply in a anaerobic environment. The vaccine became available in 1933.
