DAY 1 - FRIDAY, JULY 15 Home → Le Touquet, France (LFAT) Fly to Le Touquet, France and enjoy this lovely town full of history and culture. We will meet at the beautiful Le Westminster. All participants will meet for introductions and attend an extensive briefing covering the general procedures of our journey as well as details for tomorrow’s departure. Afterwards, we will gather for a welcome cocktail before dinner. Then continue over Iceland’s beautiful scenery before landing at Reykjavik. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the Radisson Blu 1919 where we will enjoy luxury accommodations in the very center of Reykjavik. The Radisson Blu 1919 is 5-minute walk from oceanfront Harpa concert hall. This genteel hotel in a 1910s building is 1 km from modern Hallgrimskirkja cathedral and 2 km from the National Museum of Iceland. DAY 4 - MONDAY, JULY 18 Reykjavik, Iceland Today we will visit the Blue Lagoon, Iceland’s most unique and popular attraction. Communicating a world of healing power, wellness and beauty, the Blue Lagoon was founded on a unique source of geo-thermal seawater that originates in Iceland's extreme environment. Iqaluit is located on a south-eastern inlet of Baffin Island and is generally only accessible by air. Upon our arrival we will be transfered to The Discovery Hotel. DAY 10 - SUNDAY, JULY 24 Jackson Hole, Wyoming Today we will enjoy a full-day tour to the Yellowstone’s most famous attraction: The Old Faithfull Geyser. Old Faithfull is one of almost 500 geysers in Yellowstone National Park. It has over a million recorded eruptions and it is the largest regularly erupting geyser in the park, making it the easiest to see in action. We will definitely experience the Old Faithful, erupting and spewing boiling water into the air! We will land at the private Monument Valley airstrip. The Navajo Nation's Monument Valley Park is one of the most majestic sites on Earth. The great valley boasts sandstone formations that tower at heights of 400 to 1,000 feet, framed by scenic clouds casting shadows that graciously travel the desert floor. The angle of he sun accents these graceful formations, providing scenery that is simply breathtaking. The landscape overwhelms, not just by its beauty but also by its size. The fragile pinnacles of rock are surrounded by miles of mesas and buttes, shrubs and trees, and windblown sand, all comprising the magnificent colors of the valley. There will be a stop for a barbeque lunch. In the afternoon, explore the famous 17-mile loop of Monument Valley. View many of the famous monuments with stops at The East and West Mittens viewpoint, John Ford's Point & Three Sisters viewpoint, the Totem Pole viewpoint, Artist's Point and the North Window viewpoints. In the back-country, we will stop at the Sun's Eye & Ear of the Wind. This area of the Navajo Tribal Park boasts hidden treasures like natural arches and provides different vantage points from the traditional 17-mile loop road. Appleton is conveniently located 20 minutes away from Oshkosh, home of the very well known EAA Airventure Show, which we will attend on the next day. T E R M S A N D CO NDI TI O NS Our land program includes: Our land program does not include: - Presence of an Air Journey tour leader who will facilitate - Airport departure taxes clearances, Immigration, refueling, flight planning, and provide help - Cost of obtaining passport or visas and or inoculations with any difficulty that might arise - Beverages except as noted above - Full-time services of a professional Air Journey guide and local - Personal expenses such as laundry, room service, communication experts charges and other incidentals - Lodging: for 20 days, 19 nights - Meals as described in the program - Wine selected by Air journey is included with dinner. All other beverages are not included. - Tours and admission to all planned group sightseeing - All service charges and taxes - Round trip transfers between airport and hotel - Customs and Immigration forms (filled by Air Journey when possible) Please note that hotel accommodations and sightseeing are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Air Journey reserves the right to amend the order of sightseeing as necessary. Every effort will be made to operate tours as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued. Our quoted prices include planning, handling and operational charges; they are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs and taxes as of April 2022. Air Journey reserves the right to increase tour prices to cover increased costs, tariffs and taxes, and to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets. Passports are mandatory for the Journey. Air Journey has quoted this itinerary with a minimum of participation of 5 airplanes. The Registration fee includes: - Extensive Navigation log (airports, route, frequencies, information of airspace, nav-aids, reporting points, international flight plan) tailored for each aircraft; - Flight plans and eAPIS manifest (departure and arrival) filed on your behalf; - Pilot briefing prior to each day’s flight. - Weather website with constant updates showing TAF, METAR, Wind Aloft, prognostic forecast and review; - Flight bag, a fleece lined jacket, and a collared, cotton shirt for the pilot with his name and aircraft tail number embroidered on the upper front. Additional jackets and shirts are included for each passenger. Cancellation, refunds: a) Cancellation by the client: Is always required in writing and is subject to the following schedule of dates, whereby some or all moneys paid will be retained: i) Given outside of 61 days of departure: AJ retains deposit per person and plane registration fee ii) Between 60 and 30 days of departure: AJ retains 50% of tour cost and plane registration fee iii) Between 29 and 15 days of departure: AJ retains 75% of tour cost and plane registration fee iv) Less than 15 days or no show of departure: AJ retains 100% of tour cost and plane registration fee b) Cancellation by AJ: Should AJ cancel the tour after deposits have been received due to fewer than the minimum participants required, the full deposit will be refunded. Should AJ cancel the tour at any time due to factors beyond their control (including war, flood, force of nature, riot, civil action, disease) they will refund the client whatever portion of moneys are reimbursed by ground operators and accommodation suppliers. Survival equipment is available for rental on a daily basis and will be waiting for you at our departure point. Life vests and dry suits are mandatory. A life raft is recommended but is not mandatory. Contact us for more details.
