DN520 BA Arts [Two Subject]: Year-abroad study is optional. Students can apply for a year abroad in a partner university. They extend their degree from three to four years and are awarded a BA (International) degree. DN530 BA Humanities: Students may apply for a semester abroad in one of our partner universities during the third year of their degree programme. Students taking English, European and World Literature have a built-in year-long programme abroad DN541 BA Modern Languages: All students take year 3 abroad. 7
Arts and Humanities Internships Students enrolled on the BA Humanities four-year degree may apply for a one- semester internship in the third year of their programme. UCD College of Arts and Humanities will offer internships across a wide spectrum of industries, including government, NGOs; media, creative industry and cultural institutions. These internships will be supported by a pre-placement work-preparation module and will allow students to gain invaluable work experience in an environment relevant to their degree subjects. As well as giving students workplace experience, the internships will help students establish a network of relationships, enhance their core skills, deepen their understanding of the wider world and inform future career choices. Benefits of Internships to Arts and Humanities students Students on the four-year BA Humanities programme who apply to do an internship in the second semester of their third year will benefit in many ways.
