INTRODUCTION
BANDVULC
Bandvulc has been established in Devon for 50 years with a strong ethic of technical excellence supported by
production efficiency. The success of our brand can be attributed to our innovation, reputation for performance
and the dedication from our inhouse tyre experts to deliver bespoke solutions.
We provide a whole life cost approach to fleet tyre management solutions including retread tyres, casing
management and new tyres options via Conti360° Solutions. Our in-house R&D centre and rubber mixing
facility (BV Mixing) mean that we can design and build unique and specific products for the UK & Irish
markets as well as high performing products for long distance, regional and on/off-road applications.
Our philosophy since 1971 has been to provide “More than a Tyre” for our customers and as such our
range includes tyres engineered for high mileage performance, specialist rubber compounds mixed for extra
1971 - 2021 endurance and built in sidewall protection features to prevent damage and maximise tyre life.
Since 2016 we have been a subsidiary of the Continental Tyre Group, providing further
expertise and exciting new opportunities on a wider scale with a business partner who shares the same vision
as Bandvulc.
With investment in time, people and machinery, Bandvulc’s core focus remains fixed upon safety, innovation
and quality which are central to the strategy of the business and are part of the fabric of daily life.
MORE THAN A TYRE
ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT 50 YEARS OF SUSTAINABLE RETREADING Each time a truck tyre is retreaded it saves 68 litres of oil, 30kg of rubber, 20kg of steel and 60kg of CO2. Each time that tyre is retreaded thereafter, further savings are realised. At Bandvulc we are convinced that the recycling of truck tyres through retreading plays a significant role in plans to reduce the use of raw materials and waste production. Constant investment in the upgrade of our production facilities combined with in-house research to develop new tread compounds and tyre profiles ensures that we meet the ever-increasing demands of the modern transport industry. A by-product of the retreading process is buffing dust. At Bandvulc this is collected and recycled for a variety of uses including new passenger car tyres and products including athletic surfaces and equestrian arenas. Bandvulc’s contribution to preserving some of the world’s precious resources is highly significant. Not only does our environment benefit, so does your business.
