In 2017, was pilot project covers the Shawes and Pirzeen areas of Erbil. In 2018 it will expand to more areas of Erbil. Most of the partners who were operating in Erbil took part in this scheme. This collaborative approach included ACTED, INTERSOS, TdH, QNDIL, PAO and Mercy Corps, and is intended to foster two way communications between humanitarian service providers and the communities that they serve – to build trust and to provide answers through face-to-face communication. The CSFM has two broad objectives. (i) To provide people with information about the services that they are entitled to access, and (if appropriate) to connect service providers with individual beneficiaries, and; (ii) To use the data learned from the process to leverage for change. This is data driven programmatic advocacy. TLC2 will be a platform in Turaq and a complaint box will be in the centre to let refugees and IDPs put their complaints in it. 4- CHALLENGES & RESPONSES There are still needs in the village and Plan B covers the needs of refugees and IDPs in Turaq.the goal is "Learning and Protection Support Project for refugees and IDPs, Turaq– Erbil". The general objectives are: "Conflict – affected children and their families have access to learning support and protection services in Turaq – Erbil". The objectives are: Psycho-social support and its different services for refugee and IDP Children and their families, Learning Support, Recreational Activities, Health services and awareness, Capacity building of teachers in refugee and IDP schools and Services of other organizations in the Center for refugee and IDP Children and their families. Turaq still has refugees and IDPs, number of students in IDPs school in Turaq are 750 students, most of them need PSS activities and learning support. Schools in the village don’t provide quality education. Students attend 3 days per week. There are lack of teachers, lack of books and lack of services. Most refugees and IDPs still live in Turaq because the village surrounded with companies, farms and centreal bazzar where they find jobs. The center doesn’t provide formal education that’s why some days there is lack of students who prefer to stay at home and attend the centre when they want;calls and coordination with these families have done and still there are 422 students in the centre. When IDP and children studends have exams , they don’t come to they center ( 4 to 5 days per 4 months ), the center remain open for other activities. In the last week of Jan just 120 students came to the center. The war has finished in Iraq but still a big number of families remain in KR-I. Federal government announced that all the schools which belong to IDP students should close after final exams ( End of May 2018 ). 5- SUSTAINABILITY. The conflict in Iraq has changed but hasn’t changed the context of Turaq, families still live in the village because the village surrounded with companies, farms and centreal bazzar where they find jobs. They seek security and learning for their families and children. 750 students are studying in Alshaheed Hussein (IDPs School) in Turaq. The schools don’t provide quality education, there are lack of teachers and lack of books and resources. The students in the IDPs school attend just 3 days per week. Refugee's school is Morning shift, so refugee still can attend the center in the afternoon shift. Now, there are 276 IDP students in the center. Refugees and IDPs school don’t provide recreational activities and psychosocial support! So, the center is a place where they can find these services and activities. Turaq is a small village with 200 refugee families and 1090 IDP families and it is located next to the central bazaar and there are many companies and farms where many of Turaq's people work in. One of the challenges which may effect on the center when some of these companies close then the people will move to another areas where they can find Turaq Learning Centre – Monthly Narrative Report 13
