THE TSC SCHOLARSHIP The TSC Sixth form scholarship is for players who want to reach the next level in their football aility. All players will train 2-3 times a week and compete in the Academies league. All training sessions and games take place during the school timetable alongside each players academic studies. Fixtures are filmed to allow players to review their performance with footage being used for analysis work to help players improve. All players receive coaching from highly qualified, experienced and professional football coaches. A full fitness programme including SAQ work, strength and conditioning work with individual training programmes and structured, periodical fitness testing. Each player will receive training on individual technical ability and tactical understanding to prepare them for a potential future in the game. Goalkeepers will also receive goalkeeper specific training from goalkeeper academy Just 4 Keepers. Players will benefit from TSC’s extensive links within the semi-professional and professional game. Many players have progressed on from the TSC scholarship to play semi-professionally as well as a number of players receiveing scholarships to play and study in the USA. All players will also have the opportunity to take coaching badges and earn a qualification which can lead to a career in coaching or other areas of sport. We will fully fund each players FA Level 1 Coaching Course which may also lead to potential employment with TSC for those who wish to take on coaching as a career. All players will also receive a large nike kit package which they wear during the school day.

SCHOLARS KIT All players who are part of the Scholarship programme will receive a personalised high quality Nike kit. Kit is worn during school time on training and match days. URSULINE COLLEGE The Sixth Form at Ursuline College offers fantastic opportunities for students to study and further their skills with excellent and innovative teaching, thereby enabling students to gain the qualifications and experiences needed to access university, further education and the careers of their choice. We are very proud of the Sixth Form at Ursuline College and the achievements of our students. In 2015, 26% of students studying A Level achieved grades A*- B, on our vocational programmes 100% of our students achieved D* - P. These students have progressed on to study, Clinical Psychology, Criminology, Forensics, Education, History and English Literature. We also have students who have taken up apprenticeships in football coaching and management, hospitality, real estate, local government and business management. We offer a wide range of academic and vocational courses at levels 2 and 3 alongside a tutorial programme that offers guidance for students in study skills, careers advice, and higher education advice. There are many leadership opportunities for students in the sixth form. We have a Sixth Form Student Council that supports whole school events and community work. Many student leaders work alongside teachers in KS3 and KS4 classes, working as mentors and lead by example in our school and wider community. We also have strong links with our local community hosting events such as our annual senior citizens Christmas party. We are confident that you will find the Sixth Form challenging and rewarding and an excellent preparation for a successful and exciting future.
ST GEORGES St George’s Church of England Foundation School 6th Form provides a variety of qualifications at all levels allowing students to progress into employment and higher education. The School has values based on high standards of academic excellence, uniform and discipline. In 2015 our average total points score was 798. The number of students who gained a Distinction or Distinction * in their vocational subjects was 100%. The 6th Form provides an ongoing and highly structured programme of preparation for higher education so that our students are well informed and confident when it comes to choosing and applying to college and university. The 6th Form offers both Advanced and Vocational subjects, as well as GCSE re-sits. Student subject choices have been developed to suit all student needs and progression routes. GOALKEEPER COACHING We work in partnership with Just 4 Keepers goalkeeper academy who provide specialist goalkeeper training for all the goalkeepers in our scholarship programmes. J4K’s expert coaching staff work with our goalkeepers on their technique, game understanding and physical attributes. J4K have worked in the local area for many years helping goalkeepers to develop and have worked with numerous goalkeepers that have now gone on to play at a variety of semi-professional and professional football clubs. https://just4keepers.co.uk/goalkeeper-training-kent/
PHYSIO We are partnered with Momentum Healthcare who provide physiotherapy and treatments for all our scholarship players. A physio attends our training sessions to help players with any short and long term injuries, strengthening programmes and any rehabilitation that is needed. This is vital for helping to keep our players fit and healthy through the demands of full time training. The specialist attention also helps all our players through their development from youth to adult football in terms of their strength and conditioning. Momentum healthcare are a Thanet based company who provide a wide range of manual therapy services for the specialist treatment of muscoskeletal pain complaints. They employ healthcare professionals including Osteopaths, Sports medicine Specialistst, Physiotherapists and Sports Masseurs. COACHING ACADEMY As well as our playing scholarship we also run a coaching academy.The coaching academy is for sixth form pupils who have an interest in entering the world of sports coaching, teaching, leadership roles or other roles in sport. The 2 year course will run alongside the students academic studies, during the school day. Coaches can also choose a sport to specialise in as this is not a football specific programme The coaching academy will give students experience of working with a variety of children and people in the community in a sports coaching role. As well as this they will gain recognised qualifications in the form of a Sports Leader Level 3 Qualification (which earns UCAS points) as well as financing towards a national governing body qualification in a sport of their choice. The coaching scholarship is a 30 week programme which is carried out during the school academic year. The coaching scholarship will help to give practical experience in coaching children as wellas studying the theoretical side of coaching. Students will get to work alongside coaches with a lot of experience to help guide their learning. The students will work within the primary and secondary school as well as others schools and the community. They will gain experience as well as having coaching courses in their chosen discipline funded for them.
